Women dont joke ....because they marry them.. !!!
From years women always been the topic for men to joke on....even one can find so many blogs on " WOMEN N GIRLS "........the female gender is the hottest topic for men to discuss on anyday.......so its time to let you know guys that Women dont joke because they do the tremendous job of marrying them , when the hillarious part of women turns up into a blank....................
DOnt mind....but Truth is Always bitter :-p !!! So what views u hold on this sensational topic....???
@unknown bhai, u r right about that.
you can see posters all around delhi , dahej ki aad main, patni sataye , to hamare paas aayen.
patni trasta men can be found in millions, get a consensus done on it.
@pramod : Y r u comparing Sir ?? ...I guess u r very matured and elder to me...and i guess u know whts the importance of Women in todays world....Please its not about who's hitting whom...!!!
@Raisa ..@Pramod bhai is just giving an instance that its not that women are the only suffering ones...n victims..there are men also who are being victimised.. well that has a point in it..
may be who knows..in another millenia.. women will totally dominate..and then men would keep complaning about it...just imagining..the men then would read history and think...those were the golden days... am sure u wld love that to happen now itself
@ unknown bhai,. u r right my friend,.
there is a forum in delhi of patni trasta people. u cn see ads al over ., dahej ki aad main patni sataaye to hammare paas aayen.
they want 100% rights. if they get it then demand would go 200%. .
there is no limit to their demands. man.
@Raisa if u have given up..please dont give lame excuses that u started it for "fun"..and u call me a male chauvinist hahah.. who has propelled the discussion..hahah thanks buddy..
read the my comments between the lines...i said watever we r right now wldnt be possible without either one's support..and u r teh one who started with a one sided stance..
u couldnt come up with stronger points I should say.. if i were u I could have given more sane reasons..which u missed
u had so vague terms.. from "time immemorial".."many centuries".."lots of cases"..
a tip for debating have ur facts perfect,never be vague....and then get into debate.. else ppl will ride on u...
@unknown : If u want to be so specific , to be clear earlier Men cosidered Women the one who should cook and take care of home.....this was the words of Mahatma Ghandhiji also. So i think they were never allowed to become the great one's.....!!!
and if u want me to mention few aftr independence ...i must say Indira gandhi and sarojini naidu (As u mentioned )....than talking about today Kiran Bedi , melinda gates (who works for India ).....
@unknown : M din came to fight here that u r using words like "GIiving up ' and "lame excuses "...idea is about how to work for it...not about comparing who did what and better.....??? But from the first comment till the end.....just read again in case u want....u all men just talked about "your " contribution in "our " lives.....so thts wht i call MALE CHAUVINISM :-) !!!
I guess i the tittle should have been "MALE CONTRIBUTION IN WOMENS LIFE " :-) !!!
ok truce
change the title
@unknown : Sorry u post the new one........Dont be a MALE CHAUVINIST....na na na :-p !!!
Cmmo'n talk abt women betterment....m sure u can do well in this :-P
hehe.. see even if u really dont mean that u can still put that title as a sarcastic one..and am sure a lot of ideas will pour in..:)
oh com'on now u callin me MC...
let me tell u... theres a serious problem with me.. I dont like to go with herd..if everyone here were to support men..i wud have taken the women side..but since u were too much on women side..i took the men side..
after all discussion should have diverse perspectives..thats when it becomes a learning.. else if everyone says ya ya.. there is no use
@unknown : I must say u r with great and very different thoughts MAN :-p !!!
I believe in talking about right things and not about "where's the more inclination "...
And seriously u have a problem .....u are never clear about wht m trying to say ..."NO GENDER BIASING PLEASE".....Men are not harrased much i guess....if required let me know il post a topic supporting guys.......i dont have problm with that....since as the topic says "WE HAVE TO MARRY MEN " :-)
...see..I strongly bellieve that.... nothign is perfect in this world..and nothign is right or wrong..
even a terrorist has his own ethics and values..
I just want to add value to a discussion.. so i participate..if ppl have problem in listenin to different views thats the problem of those people...
@raisa : i havnt read all the posts here. But going throught some of your points you are mainly concentrating on "puranas".. come on.. is that all..
do we need to really dig around the past like this. I agree that women were under many rules(i am not telling men laughed at woman) in the past centuries.But now things have changed. Women in the current age have so much freedom and there are literally no rules to make them suffer or whatever. so the discussion is almost pointless.
Let me quote my favourite movie line here: "After CENTURIES of men looking at my tits in stead of my eyes and pinching my ass instead of shaking my hand, I now have the *DIVINE* right to stare at a man's BACKSIDE with vulgar, cheap appreciation if I want to!"
It's true! Even today commodification exists! Else the terms "item", "bomb, "maal" would not have existed!
I need not even mention the other crap that women have to bear! (have already elaborated on that!) The list goes on!!!!
@unknown : M not confronting Pramod Ji but asking to atleast stay with the topic and understand the need of it.....here no one would have tkd on the topic...but had all off topic discussions...and here u are with the NEW ONE...u r really different :-p
And i want to live in that millenia and talk like you :-p
@Raisa :O so u mean..women are in that tough situation..now..no no..u r exagerrating things out of proportion...
I think u r jealous of men..and cursing GOD for being born as a girl..
@unknown : U r exagerrating things out of this world MAN......and m very happy to be girl (AS I SAID BEFORE AND U DIN SEE ) !!!
And c u proved the topic......joking about women when u cant talk abt her well being.... :-)
Change ur attitude MAN...respect WOMEN :-/ !!!
did i ever ...show any disrespect to u..
if u talk about equal rights.. talk as an equal human being and dont demand men to be sweet towards u..I was just talking to u as I would have talked to any person...dont demand for respect..pls..u lose more respect by that
@vipin : Thn please do the needsome of reading from the start ...... to clear urself that its not me but "MEN GROUP "...whose talking on mythology, puranas, vedas, god knows what alll.......and m the one sking them to talk abt "TODAY"....because telling the truth m really bad in those..but still trying to come out with best !!! And yes i got to know lot about old times....thnx to all guyssss :-)
Patriarchy is something that has been in place since the time of the ancient Greek civilization. It is not something that you can shut your eyes to. Women were counted at par with slaves andconsidered irrational. If you study religious mythology deeply, especially Hinduism and Greek mythology, you will discover a deep-rooted patriarchy that emerged over a period of time. There are layers to these texts hiding so much..Women have borne a lot and it is simply unfair to say that we have it easy. I agree the situation is better now, but it is mostly in the urban areas, look to the rural parts you will see that conditions are as bad as before. Sati still happens, so do marital rapes, forced marriages, etc...Things that are inhumane and disgusting to say the least! Sorry for flushing the humour out but some of the remarks here were a little offensive atleast to me. We don't have it easy. I live in the city of Delhi, I am a well-educated girl with very progressive parents and a great boyfriend, but society is such that there are still times when I wish I wasn't a girl. Things would have been easier. There are some freedoms that shall never be mine. Because of my gender.
@aldeena : thanx a lot .....uffff m happy to see some girl here finally ... :-) !!!
I agree wtih you....thts what clearly mentioned that things are almost same in north but yes no doubt south is better in these aspects.....still not best !!! And delhi's case as far i have heard is the worst....i have heard tht its really difficult for girls to even go around thr college....but people are totally out of topic here...rather bragging about male gender .. :-/ !!!
Raisa, I too am a South Indian by birth but things are no different with South residents. I agree there is a certain bit of a difference but even there these stereotypes and stupidities exist! And North toh..tauba tauba! :P
Wats happening fella's? I am stuck in the Lunar module of the Appolo 13 n people r busy talking woman n men here? :O
Hey il come to rescue you...dont worry :-)...Dont trust ur UNKNOWN BHAI...he's busy tkng about his illusions......Here i Comeeeeeeeeeeeeee :-)
@Raisa
that shows how much u respect for peer views...
Raisa..i guess u can't do it all alone...unity is strength n y don't men n women unite in all their works n make things possible, cleaner n better?!
Now come rescue me :P
@naveen : Because few wont talk about unity , rather brag about "individualism "....u see if m right or not...
from last 2 hours m using the word "we"...and rest are saying "Me", "Me", "Me"...
thts y...things are very differnt in reality :-)....Here i come againnnnnnnnnn :-p , he he
Oh..glad some1's atlst watching over my craft! :P
Between..i caught the Nair in ur name, keralite?
Let me give a simple instance- a girl who has had a boyfriend before marriage will be tainted as a whore and men having 20-25 or even more will be the "Dabaang" dudes. i'm not talking about guy-girl talk. It's the society as a whole that considers it to be that way.
hehe!!! South Indian takeover happening here! Looking at the last 20-22 posts!
Ok I am not saynig we are living in an utopia.. I do read crime news..
so? I have read a lot of cases where women have been cruely burnt for more dowry...
and u know the funny part..a lot mother in laws also take part in this royal ritual..[read heinous crime]
now whom should we blame here???
actually..do these things happen in real life? i have seen the mother in law - wife fights in movies, but not heard any in a real life!
The thing is the ingraining..I would mention the burqa argument here. I have studied this particular issue in my Masters so I talk from the pulpit here! :P
Patriarchy is so deep-rooted in our minds that it is hard for us to remove it so easily. My generation has been a little immune to this I would like to believe but my mother's generation was brought up under this and conditioned to believe that all that crap is right. It is not ok for women to question things, think, fall in love and mundane things like that. Mother-in-laws come froma different background and that is the reason. They were brought up in a world that taught that all that shit is what is right. It is so deep in their minds that it is rooted in their minds.
The burqa too, it is easy to say they would not wear it if they didn't want to, but to say 'no' for a woman is not so simple. There is condemnation and ostracisation that will follow. How many women would be in a mental position or social or financial position to take that risk?
The problem thus lies in indoctrination of redundant values. The day that goes our world will be a better place..
@Aldeena I should say u r smart from ur points..unlike many I read above...
but ur argument has nto answered clearly what i posed...u say mother in laws are different bckgrd..pls plss plss.. they are also women....a daughter in law becomes a mother in law...
@Unknown: My point holds..read it again. The current crop of mother-in-laws belong to the same generation that I gave my mom as an example of.. When I become a mom-in-law, I can assure you that it won't be the same. Because my upringing is different. I have a different view of the world...
@unknown : i told you , u have a problem u comment without reading things properly.....
And if u want me to prove my point...recently around 4 cases came up in bnaglore where husband have killed their wives , they all well educatde , even women are working ,living in nuclear family , still for some issues like money and all...thy have murdered thr own wives.....
And also to remind you that gone are those days where mother in law use to burn her daughter in laws...because hardly ul find people living n joint family these dyas...its rare...!!
Moreover...even if mother in law is coming to burn where is the husband....y cant he come and rescue her...i guess its a man's reponsibility to take care of his wife after marriage from all sorts of evil around her if he really respects her in any sense......!!!
So when u cant expct a bit of respected from literate man....thr's no use of talking about the illterate old genration people....i hope ur points against me are clear now...
@ALdeena..
ok here in the whole of the thread the discussions have been about past and present.. u r talking about future.. I was pointing to the past n recent past..i am blaming those women who have harassed women..now lets ask @raisa to tell how much percentage is that figure..cos i cant dream numbers...are u reading @Raisa..
cool so according to u in another 2 generations..whole so called fairer sex will be fully emancipated.. if u go through the whole thread it has started with a skewed stance..which I was trying to argue on..
@Raisa.. I did read..so I commented.. on that..its a case where a futuristic scenario is given an explanation to past problem..so I asked Aldeena about that again..
see the problem with me...is I am more intelligent..
in that cases u gave...u have told about the Mom-in-law u r telling the husband has to help..yes u r right..he has to.. then what is the mom-in-law a women? or animal? talk about her gender and her responsibility.. u see women r killin women..
@ both..let's not fight over this..it's something that both genders need to work towards..
@ Unknown: No, I am not saying two generations further all women will be emancipated. I am not trying to give a soution here, I'm not God! You're not getting what I'm trying to say... I am talking about the reason and not the solution. The problem is the deep-rooted patriarchy that still exists. That conditioning must stop for any change to come about. And I can tell you with full proof that this conditioning is prevalent even in my generation and yours too, assuming we belong to the same. ;) There are some peers and cousins I know who think diffferently from me and are still not free from this because of their conditioning.
The sloution is something I have no clue about but yes, it will start with each individual, and it's not going to be easy. But I hope it will get solved someday... If I free my mind, I will help my kids to grow without those shackles and they in turn will help their children and friends and so on..It's a chain, until everyone joins it won't be complete.. :)
I was not talking about present and past, I was simply answering your question..
@ Unknown: the mother-in-law is a victim of flawed beliefs..Her parents must have believed in this and so she was indoctrinated as well. As I said, it is how you are conditioned which makes you who you are...
@Al deena yes u r right..if u go thru the way the disc started..it was like men and only men against women..
now we see it is humans against humans....ok i agree that women r physically weaker..so more women come under the victims.. and again this has been varyin with times.. it is defly not the case before modern social reforms
I disagree with your argument with all due respect. It's very sexist to say women are physically weaker. it's not just women as victims..I'm not looking for a sympathy vote. But things have not changed that much..I have already defended this statement. It is only in the urban areas that you see change. Try delving into the grassroots and a different picture will emerge.. You're argument is very uppity and bourgeis for my liking..really sorry! But you're looking at the world with rose-tinted lens. i'm not talking about your immediate surroundings but about the entire country and also the world. Progress has been largely in urban areas..
I quote my prev statement:
" I agree the situation is better now, but it is mostly in the urban areas, look to the rural parts you will see that conditions are as bad as before. Because of my gender."
@Raisa dear pls dont jump into conclusions.. i know u r all guns on me to find mistakes on me.. hold on..
dont underestimate others ..
@Aldeena well u have all right to disagree so do I..
well u r right..there are some women physically stronger than men.. so my statement doesnt hold true all time
Thanks! I'm not against men in general. I can never be. I enjoy feeling protected by my guy, I like him bein all gentlemanly for me and stuff, so let me assure you I'm not a staunch feminist! I can never say men are wrong. A sensible man who has a mind of his own and sees his woman as an equal, a partner and not his property is a gem! But such guys are not everywhere...That's all that I would say... I'm not atacking you, just putting across my viewpoint..
@Aldeena.. even I wasnt attacking.. i never had any skewed stance.. I was giving my points..backed with logic n practicality....and do read @Raisa's statements..
I was just giving views contrary..makin it a fruitful discussion...do u think..it burns much of grey cells to say just ..ya u right..yes well said..wow wat a point..I can never do that..say something..which makes sense.. else shut up...
@Aldeena : That was a nice example :-)......and thy'l watch such movies 4 times... and this is wht we call male domination which i hate to the core....!!!
And regarding society , i had been brought up in a culture away from these....as in personally i have never experienced smthing like this before....but yes m a keen observer and i do agree with you 100 % !!!
@Raisa: Being a Keralite brought up in DDelhi i have experienced both worlds and there really isn't that much of a difference, atleast in Kerala. Even now women there believe it is okay for their husbands to get drunk and come home and beat them black and blue. I'm not exaggerating, I have seen this happen.
@ Naveen: yes, these things do happen..even worse. There are women who have been killed for silly things like dowry and marrying out of their caste or within their caste! Sheesh! It's a moronic world out there!!!
the chem lecture i attended in my 1st year was not at all of my interest, still had to attend it na? so y an exception here?
U never know if Renie has this crazy survillance camera up above us n gives Indi-rank on basis of this! :O
haha...no they have this behavioral problem..thats y they r not still up there..
well..i am having a decent attendance too, n my ranking stays at 54! So my behaviour has to be the worst uh?
perhaps.. Or maybe you did not supply enough beer to the ranking crawler!
Btw, we are taking the header "general and off topic" to new heights! Maverick mallus strike again! Hehe! Totally off the topic!
Oh..yeah...i know why it happened to me...its the beer!! I just forgot abt it when that lazy crawler came towards me, barking!..
next time i am gonna feed him cans n cans of beer..n some nice pickles for touch up too
@ unknown : Welcome back again .... and c again out of topic :-p
not interested in talking about the 90% case (which is usually male harrasing women ) ....but ul talk about the 10% case ( where its just about women )...Y r u so confronted dude..??? Give us the reason for wht v r sking first....thn vl discuss rest..
@Raisa.. pls yaar.. u r arguments are weak.. can u give me a source for that numbers u quoted 90% and 10%..just dont dream some number ok..give me a hard fact..
@naveen : yes m keralite :-)
@unknown : i just wanna ask one thing ......wht would be ur conclusion about this whole discussions..??? Do u thing all the points v commented are wrong here ..?
or u with some new and differnt perception.....???
Hey, i'm a true-blue malayalee! What do you mean by we? Like it or not, njan thalli kerum into the topic!
Oh god! :O never knew this place was so full of mallus :O by we i meant Keralites r warm :P
@Raisa started topic as women on whole..now cos @Aldeena says mom-in-laws are different background[with due respects to her own ideas..i dont want to comemnt on it].. now @Raisa shifts her argument towards husbands being responsible..
@Raisa defend mother-in-laws..if u have to go by ur initial argument...let me see
This is not a blame game guys..It is something that has caused many women to live all their lives in pure hell! Our mothers and those mother-in-laws could have been victims of the same thing..Haven't you thought of that Unknown? They had mother-in-laws too.. It's all they know..Life was not such that they could have extensive knowledge. It's not about whose to blame.
i'm not defending the mother-in-laws- I must clarify. inhumane deeds I can never and never will defend. The mother-in-law who kills her son's wife for dowry is a killer. And so is the husband who stands as a spectator. Both are equally wrong. But we must rise above the blame game and look at the bigger picture. it's not who or what but why that is the root to finding soultions...
yes..i agree to that...so dont discount the mom in law and say only men do it...which has been the stance..for almost last 2 hrs...so blame those human beings whose minds are screwed up...there is no diff between men n women...
@Raisa where r u..
@unknown : Ur came here with a view of arguing ...i came to discuss...both got different meanings in case u doubt...!!!!
The whole agenda talks about enhancing women position , m still talking about the same....and please note u came up with the topic of "MOTHER IN LAW"....(please read things properly alwys, i requst u now ) , m trying to tk about present, u giving me whole past list of "MEns Contribution ".....Mother in law is another past topic....start living in present please... :-P
And m in no interest to defend and prove u something...i speak about the truth...neither m with "KYUKI SAAS BHI KABHI BAHU THI SERIAL"......thts a flop now MR..so come out of it....U have tkd about all Off topics and nonsensicsl topics here , start tking about present world things (Request u again )....
And still to defend myself......yes its true that Women is Women's enemies.....but evrything has a reason....if u concerned about todays issues...(which i doubt )...mother is forced to kill her girl child beacuse otherwise she wont be allowed to survive, women are forcefully skd to sleep with her own father i law, they are beaten up...., they had been forced to live the life where they they are made to suffer evry moment of it.......they are askd to give prefrnce to their son insted of daugters...this is all forced on women for thr own survival...!!!
Raisa, I agree with your point about survival. Yes, that is the reason many a times. Very valid..
