Please review. This is a general/literary blog
I am a writer based in Kolkata with two published novels and a number of projects simmering in various flames. Since I don't live in the publishing hub of India, the blog is an important medium for me to reach potential readers. I'd like to know if it's doing that well. I have a stats counter and can review the sources of my hits, I add tags to my posts, but haven't done much else to put it out there. The blog is a wordpress blog independently hosted on Yahoo (hence I don't get auto updates from Wordpress and have to do them manually. Any advice will be gratefully received.
I liked your blog. Being an accomplished author, writing a blog seems effortless to you.
On buying my books, there are whole lot of details but there is no list of yours books. In fact I could not find details of books written by you on your blog.
Tell me when you guys are doing a session in Delhi on creative writing, I will be a game :-)

Thanks Adesh, my books are broekn up over the Fiction ond Nonfiction tabs, so i guess that makes it hard to get an overall picture of them. will sort this out. thanks for taking the time to have a look.

It cant be better than this I suppose.. Everything seem so perfect with your blog..
But as you know, with the level of excellence, the demand to be better also increases..
One personal thought, although, the theme looks gr8 but I suppose its a very common free theme from of WordPress.. The level of the blog and the blogger do demands a custom and unique theme :P. But then again, its just my personal thought.

What type of update are you talking about ??
Yahoo Hosting is just a platform for you, which provides the ability to execute the WordPress script, so not really sure what type of update are you talking about ??
If I want to use a newer version of wordpress or change a theme, I have to update my blog manually, that is I have to delete the old files and upload the new ones using an FTP server or Yahoo's own interface. If, however, I was hosted on wordpress, i would be able to apply updates with the click of a button. That's also why I don't have a lot of cool wordpress widgets. The APIs don't work on my site.

I am also under self hosted WordPress.. Same like your setup, just mine is from Wirestree.com web service.
From WordPress version 2.5 onwards, its same with self hosted also..
Here is how we all do it from our wp admin panel.. No FTP needed, no manual file upload..

Your blog looks neat. There are too many things that caught my attention. I have bookmarked your blog and will return to it to try and read them all.I have great respect to writers. @ Choto Cheeta. I saw the demo, but I don't have that interface. I have a 2.6.3 version WP blog, but my interface for some reason is the old kind with no sidebar. Could this be because I had to keep my old .htaccess?
Therefore I can't upgrade by clicking as there's nothing to click.
