1) Wonderful uncluttred theme and novelty like the Aquarium and fotografia  9/10

2) Writing sense and content 9/10

3) Pics 10/10

SO as u see u r doing pretty well according to me...Though i m a newbie but i felt that some of your pots were on the longer side..Might look good on paper but hurts on computer screen to go through them

The subscribe to posts options should be a bit higher up the page i think...

PS: have left comments on your blog too...Would appreciate your review for my blog :)

Dear TheNish :P

First of all thank you for the rating. If you could see me right now you'd realize that i am levitating :)

I would love to look at your blog as well.

About the long posts bit ... yeah I do tend to write less often, long pieces ... will culture myself soon :)

First and foremost, why are you even worrying whether your writing style is worth publishing some day? You are already publishing on your blog! OK, I understand you mean publishing as "publishing", and I am absolutely certain that the day is not too far.

Your post on 'Study Abroad' made absorbing reading, to say the least. You have no pretensions of being 'tongue in cheek'. On the contrary, you seem to instead revel in a style which says 'punch to the right cheek, hook to the left cheek and an upper cut to the chin'. 1...2...3.........10 ! Knock out!

The photographs are nice, and I am glad you are publishing scaled-down files with a copyright watermark too.

As to the template - guess why I like it so much? its the same as mine, haha!

Just a meek suggestion - how abt adopting a 3-column template and making good use of the blank left side?

Lastly, you appear to focus more on quality than quantity. That is also more than evident from your self-description in the 'About me'. You have been publishing consistently since 2006, although Feb2010 seems to have brought out a great burst of creativity in you.

One thought - albeit an invalid one now. 'Sacred East Wind" sounds surreal. Like the breath of Artemis, the Greek Goddess, in fact. Unfortunately, 'sacredeastwind' takes off the charm. Gladly, internet search engines are nowadays smart enough to deliver a tight slap and ask "did you mean sacred east wind?" and show up your site. Isn't that wonderful? Cheers!

Keep it up! Will visit your blog more regularly, for sure.

Pushkaraj Apte

Dear Pushkaraj,

You HAVE been doing this for very long haven't you. Oh, I can't thank you enough for this review. It really really inspires me to do more ...

I fully agree about the name ... have changed it once already, it was worse than it is now! *admits shamefacedly* :P

Good choice on the template then huh ;) great minds think alike. I must say I have been extremely concerned about the space issue ... have absolutely NO IDEA how to do the third column thing :( Will try and figure out.

A ginormous thanks for all of this Pushkaraj ... really!

Warmest,

S

Hey Shruti, your blog is extremely inspiring and the fluidity in your expression is amazing. Your published work is really commendable. There is not an iota of doubt that you would be a very successful and celebrated writer in the days to come.....

I would appreciate if you could take a look at my blog and if possible review my writing as well. I am just a beginner in the blogging sphere but your comments on my writing skills shall give me an idea as to whether I should pursue this hobby or quit it.

Shruti, You write well. And you shoot well. You know, not everyone can be as good as this. Keep writing and your words will surely find their way in print. Keep shooting too. And do get a DSLR and a couple of lenses. I'm not trying to scam you into reading my blog but the following post may interest you:

Shruti,

The template I use is called 'Rounders 4' - you can get it at www.blogcrowds.com/resources/blogger-templates

Just be careful when changing the template. It is a tricky affair.

Hey Aditya,

Thank you :)

Yes I take the pictures, have been doing so for sometime. But the editing bit - I am quite new to it, still trying to find my feet.

Just looked at your blog. Quite enjoyed it. Quirky! :D

editing pictures is no big deal, at least as far as posting on the blog is concerned. All you need to do is tinker with them a bit. its a blessing if you can use Photoshop or GIMP (which I use)

If you want to only resize, you dont need any fancy stuff. Just resize them in Windows Picture Viewer...

GIMP huh! Now that's another thing on my list of 2000 things to learn about the computer. If only I was slightly smarter or drank milk or ate almonds ... it'd be easier!

If you are familiar with photoshop GIMP is like cakewalk! The best thing about GIMP is that it is FREE and under 30mb. Smile

Well nice blog yours, and about the question, yes your writing style does come under the category of those that can be published. And your clicks are nice and btw gimp is easy to use after you get through the initial stage. Keep up the good work and keep blogging
