Change in Blog URL
Hey,
I currently blog at www.archieunplugged.blogspot.com. I registered this id, long back and since then have been using it. Now, I feel it is way too long. Or, just that it does not really show anything about me or the blog. Also, secretly - I have heard people ask me if I am a singer :P
I have been thinking of a change of my url to www.archwrites.blogspot.com. Now, if I do this – what are the disadvantages? Most of my traffic is via FB, or from readers who have me on their google reader.
- Will google reader continue to redirect to the new URL?
- Is there a way I can leave a message for users to move to the newURL?
Also, if you think all this is too risky, let me know. I will just drop the idea.
If you ask me, forget about what people say or how long is the URL. I like this name and much more than what are you going to change it with. Just forget about changing it gal.
