Challenge for blog

I recently saw threads requesting to suggest blog topics and there were other threads where people asked how one gets/thinks topics to blog about. This is where idea for this thread came to me. So, here is how it works: -

  • Anyone who has joined this thread can be challenged. Please do not challenge somone who has not joined this thread.
  • Go through the blog of the person and understand what it is about. Then, suggest a topic on which he/she should blog.
  • Accepting the challenge completely depends on the person who has been challenged. He/she will have full rights to politely reject the request.
  • Once the blogger has accepted the challenge and published the post, he/she should inform by replying here. The reply should be to the person who has challenged to maintain the relevance.

So, let's start people.

TF-A hypothetical topic for jeeteraho ,when all my posts are grounded in reality? My readers outside indiblogger will think i have lost it;& then i will lose my readersCry don't do this to me....either give me a reality based topic or i will write a brief on this to[pic at forum-if Renie allows it.

The Fool
from Bangalore
1 year ago

It is very much grounded in reality, Indu. All these social workers and do gooders are so concerned about the physical well being of humans. But is food, clothing and shelter everything? What about a sense of purpose in life? The social workers gets his or her sense of purpose by helping the poor in their physical needs. But who cares about helping others find a sense of acomplishment?

The Fool
from Bangalore
1 year ago

My question is based on personal experience. My mother could not achieve her academic and career ambitions. So she made my upbringing her sole pupose in life. Once I was grown up and well settled, she began to experience a sense of purposelessness. Later she fell sick. Everyone was concerned about her health. But I felt one of the impediments to her recovery was her not having the will to live. This I felt was due to the lack of purpose. So I struggled hard to find a real, tangible purpose to make her hold on to life. Does it make more sense now?

indu chhibber
from Kota
1 year ago

The social workers you talk of, are voluntary social workers,while professional ones (incidentally i too belong to that tribe) are more concerned with the emotional & psychological problems of people....in light of what you have told me, the topic would be "the will to live" or "having a purpose in life"...tell me what you think.

The Fool
from Bangalore

@Indu - Either one would do. Just that coverage should be on the lines that people have needs beyond physical comforts and how to ensure people get that or something on those lines.

@Leo Challange for you

Write a story ;

Context : An Unlucky guy , who faces bad luck everywhere he goes , his atleast 10 bad luck context.

and when he goes to commit suicide , something motivates him

The Fool
The Fool

Have a real tough one for you, Leo.

Let me first give some info from Wikipedia about absurdism

In philosophy, "The Absurd" refers to the conflict between the human tendency to seek value and meaning in life and the human inability to find any. In this context absurd does not mean "logically impossible," but rather "humanly impossible."[1] The universe and the human mind do not each separately cause the Absurd, but rather, the Absurd arises by the contradictory nature of the two existing simultaneously. Absurdism, therefore, is a philosophical school of thought stating that the efforts of humanity to find inherent meaning will ultimately fail (and hence are absurd) because the sheer amount of information, including the vast unknown, makes certainty impossible. As a philosophy, absurdism also explores the fundamental nature of the Absurd and how individuals, once becoming conscious of the Absurd, should react to it

Now the challenge is this - Write a piece of poetry bringing out the absurd nature of the universe and man's futile attempts to find meaning in a meaningless universe.
