Why do you take photos?
So, what is your reason?
I want to document the replies as a post in my blog!!!
Reason: clarify
To capture the beautiful things in this life....
It depends on the people right?
There are some who love Nature and the beauty of it, and hence they take pictures to capture those beautiful moments
.
But there are some who takes pictures just so that they can document and remember it
.
Oh me.... I take Photos to capture the beauty of nature
Anything and Everything which looks explicilty NON-HUMAN
.
I hope you're not going to ask "and how you define non-human?" now :P @sameer
Hahahaha lol. Good one @TS
So that I don't have to go hunting pictures for my blog posts on google images
As far as I know, humans are said to be the one of the beautiful creation by God
@Pooja
I respect INNER BEAUTY more than Outer Beauty Sameer
. And unfortunately HUMANS's Inner beauty cannot be captured
. But for NATURE Inner and Outer beauty is the same
. So love capturing it
.
Beauty is beauty... inner or outer
What about portrait photography? Isn't that beauty
Nope... For me its Different
. You are a Photographer so our perspective changes right
.
You takes Photos cause it is your passion
.
I take photos cause NATURE is my passion

.
Hmm! Not at all interested in Potrait photography
. Only NATURE
.
Humans are said to be most beautiful ? says who ?
Such narcissism
Humans are not "the most beautiful". They are one of the God's beautiful creation

Still it's a great idea, i guess
I take photos to record my impression on the places i have visited, hopefully when we travel down the memory lane it will reveal when i had been to a particular place. Sounds autobiographical
Humility is the essence of true photography..as I am a street photographer and a beggar poet, I live with beggars I doucument their pain through pictures I live with Hijras and the Naga Sadhus for me photography is a healing science of touch ..and I am lucky I bequeathed this sublime gift to Marziya Shakir my grand daughter 4 year old one of the finest streeet photographers of Mumbai internationally acclaimed and I am now in the process of teaching photography on the Cano EOS 7 D to my second grand daughter Nerjis Asif Shakir 8 month..so when you update this post after an year or so so she will be shooting pictures along with me and this is the humility the essence of my photography.
Thank You

in Why do we take Photographs.
I just love photography. I wish I could ever learn professionally and spend time on that. But we can't manage time for everything we love. So, at random, without professional knowledge, I take pics which I love. Generally, nature, sky, trees, innocent kids. One benifit of photography is when I can relate them with poetry, I feel the perfect expression of thoughts and emotions by words and pics.

So that 10 years from now, when I want to revisit my past, I can take a break from the busy routine, open up the album and reflect on where I have been in the past. Reflect on what my life had been like back then. Remind myself of the time that is ticking away. A reason to smile. :)
Funny, I was going through some of the pictures from my college campus just a few days back. I was feeling the nostalgia. It's been only two months since I left college. Imagine how I will feel when I look at the same pictures 10 years from now. :)
