Hey friends,

Since we have bloggers from Wordpress as well as Blogspot, I was wondering which is better in terms of user-friendly aspects, as well as its reach to readers.

I recently heard that Wordpress reaches out to more people and somehow gets more followers.

Just looking for comments based on your experience.

Thanks!

Having captcha code or not is just a facility provided by blogspot. It depends on the Blogger whether he uses it or not. Like I dont use it. On the other hand in wordpress, you need to log in 2 times to comment.

Wordpress is awesome. The best part being it is ability to customize it, if you have a little knowledge about web development. Rest goes on your creativity.

Wordpress is easy to set up, easy to work on, easy to handle, and difficult not to like its numerous themes.

My website is on a Wordpress theme.

Wordpress makes your work look professional... :)

Saying this is better or that alone will not suffice, when we pitch for some platform, we should justify it too.

Here we are not talking about just 2 but 3 platforms actually.

1. Blogger (Blogspot)

2. Wordpress.com

3. Wordpress.org

Blogger is good for beginers because it is easy and takes care of most things. Also, there is absolutely no cost involved. However, the level of customization you can achieve in Blogger is limited and so is the flexibility of the template.

Wordpress.com is the same as Blogger, however the flexibility is much lesser and they dont allow adsense.

Wordpress.org has evolved from a Blogging tool to a Content Management System. It gives a lot of flexibility interms of UI and other stuff, and is also more SEO friendly. However there is a cost involved. You have to spend around Rs 100-500 per year on the domain name and Rs 2000-3000 minimum on the webhosting.

Nooooooooooooo Wordpress is not better. There are two types of wordpress. One is wordpress.com and the other is wordpress.org. Wordpress.org is what proffessional webdesighners use. It is is indeed better than blogger. But you will need your own domain and hosting for that. Wordpress.com is free but is by all means worse than blogger. You cant even monetize your wordpress.com site and that is just one disadvantage.
