OK... FORGET THE LINK..  can we discuss the topic... i get it.. next time wont post a link!!

I know this aunty who throws this coconut in the middle of the road at 5 in the morning and these set of people who feed crows... and then this another character who throws chapati out the window- and we live on the first floor- shittiest floor you can ever buy in a building. Mom never used to believe in this but then she has this thing where she says "oooh look at them, they becamer richer and happier and kids got married and shit...". Situations conspires around your surroundings that makes you believe in shit- like people believe that cats will not take over the planet one fine day. I don't use stuff that adds up to the numbers 4 and 8- dates, cellphone numbers. I don't do anything in tuesdays and saturdays (well..not doing anything new on a saturday has a certain logic since the next day is a sunday...). Sometime I never used to believe but after observing people and their situations- and my family and situations, I decided to play along. I still do. You shouldn't take it as a pressure. Just chill and go with the flow. Too much of anything is bad though. I don't believe in that sun sign thing. I have no opinion about it. Whatever rocks people's boat! I don't see future and all that, people in our religion are supposed to follow that and as per what my mom said we're not supposed to show our hands for palm reading as well. The way I see it, if you follow your religion as much as possible and do no harm- its all good. Besides, there's a certain level of "comfort" when you follow it once it creeps in your head. Whether its true or not is irrelevant and varies between people. But yeah- some people are VERY VERY desperate and unfortunately that desperation creep in parents too- especially when a child wants to do something else in life- but parents wants him/her to do otherwise. They end up using astrology as a..... "shield" or an object to guide their actions. Some use religion as a guide, some use this. That's how people end up going to that baba character who earns shitloads of money, Because sometimes in life you end up in a pool of shit that you need something which will guide your actions- and something to justify your actions. Religion is pretty harmless unless you're using it to make other people's lives miserable. I say just go with the flow. If its too much, just set it aside. If its that too much of a pressure- well- you need to summon some guts and say whatever its there in your mind to your parents. Things could be worse though. There are those very unfortunates who do all that black magic shit?

thanks a lot on your reply.. see its not that i dont believe in astrology... it may be even true.. but then i have seen many people saying this "aapki shaadi nai ho rahi.ok september tak ho jayegi.yeh hawan karwao' it has happened in my cousins case. money wasted,energy wasted.. n still nothing!! everything is just the way it is.. what i actually feel is there are very few knowledgable ppl out there.. others are just to exploit.. tellin you nothing good can haapen to make you seek their help again... all this makes the atmosphere in your family miserable!! i feel rather than going door to door its better to keep yourself away from these things so that you will be peaceful!! this is like alcohol.. thoda thoda karte karte you never know when you start living on it!!

Doc, Astrology is a science and a very advanced one. I have personal experience.

The problem is with those so called astrologers who do not know anything about it and still claim to be an astrologer. They throw every kind of tantrums just to extract money from people.

I can give you more insight to you if you're interested. And would be oblidged if you change the title. Astroogy is not shit and the title looks bad 

captain, i am not denying astrology at al.. no doubt it is good.. i have personlly read about it many a times.. but the title is about the misery it gets in ur life when u are the victim of the money making brats!! am really sorry i wont change the title.. because rather than being science it has turned to more of a business market cashing in on people's misery...

If you ask about a personal experience, I have a bad one. Not with me, but with one of my dear ones. She is one of my family members and experiences intense conflict in her own thoughts. She behaves unreasonably sometimes and upon my asking her why she did it, she would answer me as such : "I know I was doing wrong, but I could stop myselft from doing it". She would say ill words to someone and at the same time would wish that someone takes her away forcibly so that she is prevented from saying so.

I have tried to convince her parents to take her to a good psychatrist, but to no avail. They say that as per her stars, she is deemed to have such behaviour. I don't understand how.

In nutshell, although astrology is a great science and still under the phase of extensive research, we must not rely on it completely. However, there are people who just refuse to listen anything against it.

my view is that addiction is bad, and marriages on base of astrological sign just is a mental satisfaction thing, that things gonna be ok. and if reverse happens, there are explanations again, and same pundit gonna give another verdict. They are just humans in search of money.

recently one acquaintance of mine, poor fellow, unmarried 34yrs and one relationship came up, and the pundit rejected the match. Now I think he may receive another offer within three four years or so, and who knows is will turn up even.

Thank you for replying :) hahahah.. wish your acquaintance happy bachelor's life... i don't get how educated sane people fall in this trap.. we have that much intellectual to take our decisions,plan our life in our own way... why you need assurance it will always be ok.. obviously we will screw up somewhere.. but thats how it is!!
