Egg or Hen
Is it egg first or Hen first ?
@ Gopinath .. lol man.. I just saw this topic outta the blue! But of course it was the HEN!!! or was it the EGG!? My serious theory is that Chickens must have evolved from another bird so it must have come from an egg of another bird and would have just survived as chickens are small and have very good survival instincts.. it must have evolved into the chicken we know and love to eat!
Its all evolution as Anoop says. Chicken or Egg is not the creation of one day and was not the same from the beginning. It all appears like a gradient. Lifeless planet was bestowed with minute living forms which eventually gave way to everything else. now, related to this, lemme ask u a question. Can u spot the edges of colors in a rainbow? the gradient of colors is similar to the idea I've put up here.

I have been answering this question since my childhood. As Anoop says - the answer is Evolution. As per Darwin, every species is constantly evolving. At some point in this evolution timeline, you stop calling something X and start calling it Y. Obviously you cannot switch to Y when the species is still inside an egg. So it is fair to say that the Hen or the Chicken came first. Why it decided to cross the road is a whole different discussion topic. Guess, you don't even want to go there. Do you? :)
Anyways egg came first.. if you don't stress chicken's-egg!
