Friends,

as I recently shifted to Ubuntu, now finding it difficult to "batch convert/process" (Irfan view users would know what I mean) my photographs which are integral part and a must necessity for my travel posts, due to lack of Irfanview in ubuntu OS. Any idea guys how to sort out this hiccup?  [Hopeful smile]

You can use WINE to run a number of Windows applications on Linux (mostly, the ones that can be run standalone). So, IrfanView should run fine with Wine.

Alternatively a Google search gave a number of results, I liked this one: http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2008/10/02/15-useful-batch-image-processors/
