'TAGS' how much are they important..how do they help??

Recently i got an online traffic of 2oo hits in an hour..i wondered what was it...then i figured out in my statistics  it was all because of one tag i had put. 

It's possible sometimes... It is a good idea to optimize your tags on various blog networks/aggregators as well... e.g. Technorati, blogcatalog, mybloglog... I guess, the indiblogger tags need to be a little more visible so that categorizing can be better on the homepage itself.

Hey did you figure out where you got the traffic from? There's a good chance that your tag was on the wordpress.com homepage for a short while!
