Where do you get your blogging advice from?

When I was starting to work online, I went to international authors for ideas and solutions to my blogging doubts. I am yet to come across anyone famous who talks about blogging ideas that work in India.

I shall like to learn who are your favorite blogging Gurus. Just reply on this thread. I shall compile the list if we get enough responses.

International blogging gurus? You mean the ones like Darren Rowse? I'd like to think that most Indian bloggers get ideas for their posts themselves (maybe with a little help from their friends.) At least I know tat's the case with me.

@Magali

I do not mean the ideas for the posts themselves. Rather ideas about how to increase feedburner subscribers, get more people to share your posts, get links or increase revenue etc. Do you have some favorite blog from where you take such ideas?

No replies through out the day!!!!!!! Seems like Indian bloggers do not believe in getting advised. :)

Its easy for one to call themselves a blogging guru or a social media evangelist, but the beauty about internet and forums like this is it gives the chance to anyone to help other fellow bloggers; like what Magali keeps doing on the forum helping others.

there are a lot of bloggers who do blog about these things, but I am yet to come across one who has built a personal brand around it.

But having said that, why don't you try becoming one? :)

@Vineet, nice suggestion. But unfortunately I am pathetic at marketing. That is why I focus on creating websites that serve a particular need of users and niche website that help me solve my need of making money :) I think someone needs to be awesome at marketing to become a guru.

The reason I posted the question here is that I am trying to understand Indian Bloggers a little better. Since people tend to hate surveys, I am trying to go one question at a time. I am in no hurry. :)
