Off topic: Regards to 1st article: Japanese don't appreciate being referred to as "Japs". Its a racial slang just like the "other" word.

I think technology is the best thing that has happened to mankind. Oh wait! It's not the best if you don't understand it, rather use it just because it is being used. Saying technology is bad, would be saying evolution is bad, just because you think you would change to someone else, is no justification for banning a thing or two. Don't we have self control, doesn't society change, change is always scary since it is a change, it has not happened before. And saying is gonna do nothing about it, if change is adaptable it is gonna stick around whether you like it or not. Only time will tell whether it's bad or not, and in my experience (which is not much), bad things do come to an end, sonner or later, degrading gradually or with a blast.

Child's Play : This is very true. There are many reasons I could think of

1. As humans we are uncomfortable to change, as elders we rely on younger one's thinking it is too tuff, not wanting to give it a try.

2. Since it is not a source of income, who gives a shit. "My son/daughter knows it, I will tell them". The relationship between parent and child is not uncomfortable in any way, a parent can always demand child to help out.

It is predominantly the "resistance to change", or may be underestimating one self.

WorkoutforBrain: It is not all over, people are still writing novels. They used papers, then they used typewriters and now they are using computers. Ofcourse when you write on a piece of paper you think precisely so as to lessen striking words, but then even on a computer you backspace and correct endlessly until you are happy with the consolidated point you wanted to infer. Again, I feel there is a passive attitude, I feel uncomfortable reading pdf's on laptop, I prefer books since I have always used books, reading is slow on computers. My friends reads whole novels in pdf form on computers, very fast too, he feels comfortable, so what's the problem if he understands that way. He has adopted well to the change, I have not, so may be I will criticize because I don't find it quite the way he finds it.

I have come to know many bloggers who are trying to make into writing books, they write incredible. They write blogs, long posts, long letters even, they are few but they are there and many more whom I have not noticed. Who is to say they will not be the next someone for the newer generations. Let's be positive, accept what we can, critize what we can't on ground of what we can, and expect that this change find us in good shape. For instance, Jon Acuff who had a blog for the past 18 months, now came up with a book Quitter, nice trailer to the book I must say. He has been an inspiration, so a blogger turned novel writter, isn't that wonderful.

I never thought that the review of an article could be as great as the article itself. Good thoughts.
