Improvements in IndiVine
I believe one of the coolest feature of IndiBlogger is IndiVine. Here we can easily find some real nice blogposts on highly relevant topics.
However, there is no way to know the quality of the post without reading it. Here, I believe posts are stacked as they come and get accepted(correct me if I am wrong). So, its very important that such a feature is added to it, which allows the better posts to reach the top of the stack.
Maybe some 'thumbs up' and 'thumbs down' feature may be added which allows each member to press the relevant button after reading the post. (Each member should be allowed to do so once for every post on IndiVine).
However, someone may rebuttal that this feature will always keep the old good posts on top and the newer ones will be placed below them. Hence theres every possibilty that such old posts will keep getting more thumbs up as more people will read them.
To prevent it, the latest posts should be kept on the top for say, one week and after that period they should be stacked at the position generated through the algorithm. However, a 'NEW' sign should be placed after them for say, one month, so that even after moving down, those who want fresh posts may get back to them.
Excellent work to Vipul, Rennie and other Indibloggers...
Looking forward to IndiVine 2.0
thnx amol:)
Hey! this sounds fun n serious blogging. Thumbs up for Indi Team for making things better for us bloggers.
Renie there r a few things i would like to suggest though they are too many.
Can you plz include:
# adventure sports as a sub-category in the category Sports though you have mentioned other sports as sub-category.
#Art/aesthetics and theatre as a sub-category in the entertainment section.
# grooming and personal care as a sub-category in the section lifestyle.
#Mid-life crisis and old age as a sub-category in the section Offbeat and personal.
Will be glad if you can look into it n include if it makes some sense.
Hey Shas these r sum brilliant suggestions.. I hope renie looks in2 thm!
it definitely makes a lot of sense. all these topics will be looked upon only if they're specified. else, they'l be in the back of people's minds!
Nice!!! Right now we're wrapping up core development... moving onto making the pages look pretty. Will collate all the category suggestions just prior to launch - which will be sometime this week!
Thanks Vipul. You are have done a great job by starting this discussion.
I hope Renie sees this.

hey i have a request...do add a category MAKING MONEY or something like that...
there are many blogs under this tag and it will help beneficially
This is one great discussion. Wonderful ideas from the indiblogger community. Vipul, Rennie and others, thank you guys for adding the zing. The revamped indivine should be exciting.
Some suggestions to add to the list which is already quite exhaustive; I have to keep referring back to see what I am suggesting is not already there --
Recipes
Sexual harassment
An exchange or barter corner - for books, coins, collectibles, electronic items...etc
i am also for the motion that the topics must be divided into categpries and also there must be strong section for personal blogging or articles
This conversation has been moved here - the announcement of the new IndiVine!
i submitted some posts, but they are still in the bottom half.. and thats the reason I do not feel like submitting any more posts. doing a randomiser would be a good idea.. not to promote mine, but also to give visibility chances to new posts...
