IndiRank upgrade
Hello! 
I see many a thread asking about this month's IndiRank - I must tell you that it's not going to come out on time, as we are working on an upgrade. As with all upgrades, it's difficult to say when we're going to finish, but it will be out by the end of the month. (Fingers and toes crossed!)
Sorry, and we hope that it would be worth the wait!
I joined this site almost 3 mths back..still no RANK..
Oh.. That's just a wrong timing. :) They stopped the rank from March. But don't worry, we are all waiting with you. :)

I have a very simple question to ask...Can an 'aamaran anshan' a la hazare help the cause :P Its like March dt I made a blog and nw end of May :( Piya tu ab toh aaja :P
Lol, anshan can be the last resort for indibloggers. Hope inditeam is reading this!

A friendly tip to the IndiBlogger staff: Just leave the old version running until the new version is ready. This is pretty SOP. You avoid service outages and all these anxious, angry users. When you update the layout of the website, you don't take the whole thing down until you've finished the new design, right? You make the design offline and implement it when it is ready.
I apologise if somebody already suggested this. I didn't read the *entire* thread. Also I've been a member here for 2 months already and have no rank. It is a let down.

No worries, Anoop! Anger, frustration, humour, hope... nothing seems to be working here to get our Indiranks out from Renie...you can test try some other emotions too 
Maybe we can use this time up to improve the blog in the hope of a better rank. :P
It would not be much useful in helping you improve your blog because the parameters that gave you a low rank will not be shown to you. It is a TOP SECRET!!
Well, for someone ike me, who has been blogging irregularly, bloggling regularly will certainly help the cause. :)

I joined Indi blogger long time back...but never checked these forums and contests and other things...It al started 2 days ago...And am loving it...
So my question is why to bother with the ranks?
It's not a competition... Ei?
People often look in the directory to find the blogs that they are interested in and the blogs there are listed according to their Indiranks. Moreover the votes for IndiVine are also dependent on IndiRanks. If your blog has an Indirank of 65 and 10 people like you tehn the actual votes shown (Beside the love symbol) will be 10 ( 1+ 0.65)

i think you are taking too long time for upgrade.
May be the IndiRank will be more logical now, in order to benefit the good but still not so popular blogs.
cuhhmon, its time we have our ranks. by the way, i havent really understood till date how exactly these ranks work. Its pretty excititng to know thqat you are in the top 100 though. :-P
The actual agorithm in deciding the ranks is a secret. But some of the factors that contribute to the rank are frequent posting, blog's popularity and most important: Does the blog really desrve to be popular (as mentioned in the FAQ's here: http://www.indiblogger.in/faqs.php)

Renie I have quite a few questions for you:-
- When are we going to get our Indirank upgrade?
- Will it be by the end of this year?
- What upgrades are you working on?
- Will those upgrades be worth the wait?
- Why does an automated Indirank system take so much time?
All I know is Renie is understaffed. Waiting for him to respond further to these questions. :)

uhhh... you can edit THE WAIT and make it ETERNITY. That would definitely be more appropriate.
It doesn't look like we're going to get an Indirank anytime soon. Would be nice to know if the team is going to do an upgrade anytime this month or not.
I had received my second IndiRank before some time..and I was pleasantly surprised at that time...waiting to get the next one.. :)
Yeah! Renie give us a sneak-peek at the very least when you are keeping us waiting for so long.
