Is there a story to your blog?

Not in it but about it?

Like how it was created or how you got it to where it is today? Smile

Have mentioned about it on other threads. Maybe I will post a detailed post on the same on April 21 on the eve of my blog's fourth anniversary. Surprised it survived so long.

As I have already mentioned in one of your posts I started blogging on my corporate blogsite. On seeing the number of responses for my blogs my friend - Ekansh suggested me that I should create a separate blogspace. He was the one who got me into Indiblogger last November... That was the time another close friend of mine and a fellow blogger Sarita introduced me to the blogs of Preeti Shenoy - a writer. I loved her blogs, got totally inspired by her and created my own blog in blogspot. My rank got revised from 50 to 69 this month which I think is a great improvement... I am hoping for it to increase in months to come.. :P

I used to read blogs of my friends, and was happy commenting on their posts. My friend saw my intrest towards writting and encouraged me for starting my own blog. I was still hesitant to express my view on the web.  When I started useing the micro blogging site twitter, I felt now its time to create my own blog. and so I started blogging on www.swetatiwary.com Smile

Princess Poo - I have always loved writing, but was a little lazy to start the blog ... i have had been thinking of this tell you very frankly for the last 3 years. But my ever-supporting husband pushed to me start.. I saw a TED-talk and started the blog on 30-day challenge to blog everyday .. that was tough but got me the momentum and passionate about writing all over again !! My husband loves to make creatives for my blog. My daughter and husband together inspire me write some new everytime.

Initially i found it difficult as there was no theme in mind .. but what i have realised is I enjoy self-depreciting humor and everyday life humor mostly. I also write about food, books but only those things that I have experienced and felt passionate abt

What's your story Poo ???

It's the story of my life and how it always begins...ah...I think this was some song, I listened once upon a time in life. next lines of song are too much irrelevant.  I really don't know, what is God's wish. At max,  I was striving for MBA or just another software professional. But God has made me poetess and all this beautiful wonderful world of blogging, like my fav. Alice in Wonderland. But this land is real not dream.Smile

I think that this question is very similar to another question that I found here--What is your blog about?--and which I have already answered.

I am answering this question because as a result of the previous question, I have titled my blog, "Observations and Experiences of an Expat in India".

In answer to the question about the inception of my blog, I have answered that in my first blog post.

I love to purchase things online & which really compelled me to do blogging seriously. Actually it all started with a birthday gift which my brother sent to me from homeshop18. It delayed more than 15 days exceeding my birthday date & too got a defective product which made me angry & i wrote a post about it in a blog which i've created without any purpose. And in no time, it got a good listing in google displaying my bad experience with that brand & the result- they called me up, exchanged my product & gave compensation.

Similarly i wrote posts for two other brands like flipkart & beam cable where i also got a small compensation, which made it a consumer friendly blog. I actually write about the things that i care like heath, habit changes, my music video releases & ofcouse shopping experiences and it works great! I love doing it... *That's my Blog Story!

When I was young (like 8th or 9th standard), the tourism department of India came up with a competition, which they advertised on newspaper. They wanted a suitable tagline for Indian Tourism. 'Incredible India' which you see so much nowadays, should have won that contest I guess but my entry to that competition was, 'Destination Infinity'.

Since my substantially more intellectual tag-line was rejected by the Govt. I decided that someday, I will make 'Destination Infinity' even more popular than 'Incredible India'. Launching a blog was the perfect platform for the same Cool . Not sure how much I will succeed :)

The story of my blog has a lot of neglect attached to it. I would start and then neglect the blog. I then started writing and kept a collection ready but before I post I need to edit it again and make some changes. i started to blog because I enjoyed it but was not as disciplined in the folloing up part.

Now I face a new kind of a dilemma. I use my blog as a reflection of my profession and myself but I would like to split the 2 and I find that I can come up with writing ideas faster than blog names.
