Only 2 posts every 24 hours ...

New rule in Indiblogger ?

Please can you make it at least 5, cos sometimes we write but do not submit it to IndiVine.

Additionally what about people with more than one blog. If 5 cannot be made atleast can we get 2 posts per blog.

Melvin - point noted, and it's a good one. Give us a day or so and we'll sort it out! Sorry for the delay in reading this post, I've been on a road trip this past week.

Thanks Renie ... like always you guys rock !!

Wow Renie and Melvin

That was a quick solution.

I was having the same trouble, and looking for some way out of it. Great response Renie.

Cheers to Indiblogger

All right done - 2 posts for every active blog on your profile. Smile

We'll see if more bloggers want to increase the count per blog before doing so...

2 posts per active blog would be fine for all, I guess! Cool

Awesome like always Renie :)

Actually this rule is good, otherwise sometimes it looks quite awkward to see the 'latest" posts page fully filled up by the same guy.

One more suggestion, will it be good if we have a provision to comment under indivine posts itself.

Just like you show the members who voted, there can be a comment section too. This will help in deciding to read it or not based on some seasoned campaigners comments.

This has crossed our minds before... admittedly it would help increase the participation on IndiVine. Our fear however, is that comments on the blogs would decrease... genuine voters would comment on IndiVine instead of the blog itself! Frown

Yes that is true ... renie, I vote nay for the comments ...

Renie I have a suggestion, this whole mutual connection and adding a blogger to your network has no effect ... i mean there are connections, but you can never see the latest posts from your connections, who you are following  ??

Indivine gives everyone's posts, now for instance I would add someone to my network cos I like the content and style and want to follow posts from there, so maybe you can highlight the posts from your network (you are adding them to your network anyway)

Sorry I m too late for suggestions, hope Renie would read it though -

Can we also add age to Indievine posts ?? Like a post will be in in the Indivine directory for 30 days or so and it will be remove automaticaly. It will help to see new topics coming and to avoid one posts getting all the attentions.

Also, can you add the number of posts in footer of the page.  Like you do in forum replies. It is interesting to see how many posts are there in each category.

I like Melvin idea regarding mutual connection. Adding latest posts will be good idea...

OK I know this topic is a year old, and has slightly diverted from the original theme, but I am new to indiblogger and just thought i'd give my 2 cents

1. My network - I certainly echo the same thoughts that Melvin highlighted earlier - There should be an automatic feed that displays the latest posts by the bloggers you follow, just the way it is on twitter. It will make it more worthwhile to add people to your network

2. Articles - To improve people's blogging skills, it may be a good idea to rate articles (above and beyond liking them) - Rating can be covering what constitutes a good blog article i.e. originality of concept, creativity, content etc. This will constantly push people to write good material. But, this is just my opinion.

3. I think the segmentation on Indivine is sub-optimal - There should be a section on Arts & Design. Design does not come under Computers & IT - its a field in its self. Similarly, Theatre falls under arts but Arts is much more than Theatre and is again is a separate category.

These are my thoughts for now - will post others if I think of any

I think the segmentation on Indivine should be simple blogger friendly..I find it too confusing ..you got to bring more pleasing changes ..otherwise I am still happy having Indiblogger as a platform for my blogs..

And though Renie you dont consider Flickr a blog I have never considered my posts to be images .. they are pure pritine blogs.. and in all humililty..

This post suddenly came to life after a year? OK. Will put in my view anyway..

I don't know if 5 a day is OK.. 2 or 3 is fine.  and the IndiVine display and categories too is not a problem at the moment. Its a wonderful place to find new blogs and posts to our interest.

But this is what I have to suggest: rather than the 24 hrs being counted from the time you linked the first of the two posts to Indivine, let the 24 hrs be in IST time.. 12AM to 11:59PM. a 24 hr constant window. I know there are people in other timezones too, but see, if I post today at 12PM, then it might happen that tmrw I am not free at 12PM or after but 9AM I could post. Though the day has changed to "tomorrow" we've to wait till 24 hrs past our first post linking to Indivine....
