Does not copy pasting someone's article but with giving credit at the end without the permission of the author and the publication amount to plagiarism. What is unfortunate is that fellow indi-bloggers did it. Case in point is http://theforthright.com/support-anna-hazare which has been copied by two bloggers- Romeo Das and Sourav C Pandey

http://www.souravpandey.in/2011/08/i-do-not-support-anna-hazare.html

http://romeo-das.blogspot.com/2011/08/i-do-not-support-anna-hazare.html

They have given credit but without asking for my or author's permission!BTW Romeo did it first and What more when confronted Sourav C Pandey sided with Romeo and did the same to support him.Is there any way their not so noble intentions can be countered?

Monica i had kept my travel blog under wraps for 3 years and than realised the futility, but why don t you insert disabling the right click and cut short your posts exposure on RSS feed. It will stump the cut and paste experts. Try it, check out my blogspot, you can t copy, but when i post in other forums it can be copied.

wat popularity :( dese guys :P

I saw the post, real gem. Coming to the copy paste thing, I saw that the person in question had given due credit with link back to your site, which is fruitful for enhancing readership. By naming the person you are wantonly or unwantonly popularizing his site too.

If they give due credits and link back, still who is gonna visit if entire article is copied without permission.

It's worst on fb. One day I shared link of my poem which was posted and shared immidiately on Chandrashekhar Azad......and below same link, the same poem - one guy posted within 2 or 3 mins. I told him to remove, he started challenging. He annoyed a lot. I requested to group admins. They couldn't understand, after my anger he removed it but it's becoming common of FB. There are thousands of groups who is going to check there what is happening. Non - bloggers do not know the efforts we take to write a good post. What to do on this?

Forget just blog posts..i give music and record my poetry for youtube where i am a youtube partner...there have been countless instance where ppl have downloaded the video and uploaded it on their channels..many times claiming as their own..some event went to the extent of muting the sound track when i spoke my name to hide the fact...

ALL: Do file Compllains..i have got down countess videos of mine like this from facebook and youtube by filing a simple complaint. Facebok and youtube guys remove the content in 24 hrs

I have not yet tried against my poem text being copied yet.....

Well what else can you expect from Saurav Pandey and Romeo Das.They both are the birds with same feather. I am quite sure most of the blog posts on their blogs must be copied. Good that you wrote this monica. Thanks for unvieling the culprits,plagiarists..

Agreed with your STW. They are removed from here as they copied in contests too. And won huge prizes based on plagiarised content.
