Very nice blog you have there, unique theme contentwise and a nice look too :)

A few suggestions -

• Try to utilize the entire header space, thats the first thing a reader notices, try to work on it.
• Secondly, ads getting more prominence before the post content is irksome to a reader. Can be shifted to the bottom.
• Popular posts should come above feedjiit.
• Search button should be right at the top since many people could come searching for a particular product on your site and that can really increase your clickthroughs.

Hi Bhumika!

Just had a look at your blog. You are doing amazing work. But still had a some suggestions.

Agree with Arti on headers, Ads, and search widget.

• Utilise the full header space and make it look high quality. As of now, the pixelated image doesn't look good.
• Ads before content is not very pleasing for the readers. Fix that as well.

Honestly, When i look at your sidebar, it doesn't look good. Here are a few things which might improve its look.

• The images that you have used have a white background and background of the widgets is greyish. Hence the two do not blend. Plus, all of the images are left-aligned with makes it look worse.
• For some reason, i see nothing inside the 3rd, 5th, and 7th widget. If it doesn't have any content, remove it.
• The 'ask me something' looks broken. You might want to fix that as well. (This widget may not be required at all)
• "Enter Something here..." doesn't seem to be the right text one would put for a Search widget. Try and think of something better.
• Few images in the widgets, like Anniversary tickers & My favorites are spilling outside the widget. Reduce their dimensions or complete remove them.
• As for feedjit, Popular post widget and Labels widget, i would suggest that these be the last widgets on your sidebar and in the following order:
•  : ...... > Popular posts > Labels > Feed jit |

5th n 7th r follow buttons n folowers which sometimes cannot be seen..and 3rd is chitika..which also goes away sometimes..

In that case, I would have completely removed them. Would have looked much better...

no..In my case..that widget is the most important..thats how beauty blogging works :)

atleast do something about the other things i mentioned. that might help.

hey Bhumika...the problem with Chitika is that it displays ads for only new visitors...so it goes off when you login again and again...thats a problem with chitika and I think you can remove the ask me anything widget...put a contact me widget there...that would be better :) hope this helps!!! honestly I have been reading your blog since so long that I don't find anything wrong with it but yup after reading the above comments I think some things can be changed and please do tell me if I should change any layout of my blog!!!

I kept ask me anything coz I got 2-3 ques there..some ppl want to ask anonymously without revealing mail id n stuff..thats y..

I liked ur new layout..only that sometimes the chitika ads n infolinks appear everywhere..like all over..remove 1-2 of them I guess..

I think chitika is performing well and I don't have google adsense account :( overall it is better than infolinks!!!

yeah i'll do something about that...I am thinking of repositioning my gadgets too...any help on that...I have also asked for a review for my blog so would be happy if you can share some tips :)

Just checked your blog... I would suggest you to go for a white background for posts and sidebar.. that will fix up quite a lot.

First, it is not FREE to use. You will have to pay to use it.

Second, choose an image which has a width at least thrice the height of the image since you should be able to utilize the complete header.

For royalty free images, available for adaptation, modification and commercial use, I suggest you use this to find yourself an image -

the ones I liked on flickr wer copyright reservd..m thnkg of nt using an image at all..and just d name in a differnt design in a big fonts..wat do  u think ?

that was because you had not filtered the results according to commercial use. with the link i gave you can only view the ones which can be used by you.

you can use only text, but then think for yourself, a blog related to fashion, etc with a plain header!??

Might not look very appealing... Keep trying, you will find something suitable.

hey Bhumika...I can offer you a suggestin for the header...take a real pic in some make up shop...even shoppers stop would do nicely....then go to picasa and resize the pic to 1000*90 or whatever width you wanna keep...put your blogs name as a watermark...the prob with using online images is that they are not yours and you can't watermark them with your blogs name....also there is one more problem with using an image as a header...the text on the images don't get used during searches so places tags and everythign along with it....I thought of using the image and did at one point of time but then again I removed it for the same reason

also, I think there is some problem with scrolling manually in your blog...I am not sure may be only I am facing that problem but do check it out and yup do check mine once and tell if it is looking fine...I have yet to work on the ads...just thinking how to do!!!

But since you mentioned about restrictions of modifications on online images, i would want to tell u that there are sites which provide images for modifications, adaptation and commercial use. You can easily use these images for your requirement.

When you open the link, just below the search bar you can see the criteria of free usage of these images. All of this, thanks to Creative Commons License.

For the same purpose I has suggested a similar image to Bhumika. You can check that in the above discussion if you want.

Yes, Bhumika. Your blog takes a lot of time to load.

That is partly due to the huge number of heavy foreign widgets you have used. The widgets make your blog contact and receive latest info from those sites, every time it loads. Hence the delay.
