Which is your fav. social networking Site (apart from Indiblogger)?
Namaste Friends!
Indiblogger is our first love!
So..thinking about the second, which is your fav....
FB? Twitter? anything diff.?
So many social networking sites are available, how many do you join interact with? How are they?
Earlier, I didn't use to like social networking, but now I like it, because we get the chance to meet different people, we can learn a lot too.
I feel twitter than FB, coz it's fast and lot of info is shared in least time, fb, like, groups ...notifications...it's really madenning.
Same here.
I am not present on any other social networking site other than IB and if someone asks me if I have a presence on any social networking site, my answer would be a NO. Who knows about Indiexcept a few Indian Bloggers. It's time for IB to advertsie on TV, radio and newspaper!
IT's different
Well, tis' the ore topic of this site. And as for you, I'd suggest join Twitter!
I believe unless Indiblogger is planning to go to the bourses, it is not advisable to spend money on ADs, if they are planning public issue than maybe some ads are essential
NO FB NO ORKUT :D SO Twiterrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Why No FB? I can't leave the addiction of fb.. :(
FB:D got bored with that leo :)Twitter- quick :)
But you ain't that active!
DS, it's really true. Waste of time! I had done lot of efforts to come out of it. But still I can't leave fb, and I got some really good friends on FB too. But yes, without FB we can live real life which is very very beautiful.
FB is not safe to share personal info. My account is now very formal...:( ! When we were some friends, we used to share everything.
Thanks DS
A bit.....nothing else.....peaceful life.......:)
Twitterrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
I hate FB. I used to love Orkutbut then it went down down down.
Ohh so sad! why did it go down, down? Didn't you use smilyes there ?
She meant that the site went down.. not her activity! She used to love smileys there, I'm sure.
Hehehe. I use smileys everywhere. The site went down.
@Leo
yeah
Haha, I thought it's coz of Poo
I am on many social networking sites, many are only Marathi. One is social poutpurii by my friend Sulekha, there also I have joined. Also on one language learning SNS. It looks great. Though, all these things takes much time, but if we are disclipined (though I am not :( ), it's great opportunity to learn and meet people. But sometimes, I really get bored, I had a simple life before FB...now it's only updates updates...
I keep FB for my blog updates mainly. I don't chat there.. or share a lot of personal info.
I also don't chat, anywhere, not even on Gtalk.
When I got into MBA, I joined Orkut. Most fascinating thing was being able to find friends from more than a decade back and re-connecting. It was fun searching through networks to re-discover lost friends. Joined FB when I was going on exchange as I heard foriegners do no use Orkut. It found FB an effective way to keep in touch with casual acquiantances. These are people with who you are not close enough to send an e-mail. But you keep track of their updates, comment or like now and then, and just generally maintain in the memory. Later FB became useful for synchornizing with blog. Last but not the least - the so many different games. I joined twitter again to synchronize blog. Not really got a hang of twitter yet. Just letting it run on auto mode. Have a google plus account. Again don't use it. It is connected to my personal gmail account and not my blog account. So can't synchronize with blog. All my friends are already on FB. See no use connecting with same people again on Google plus. Don't know if I am missing somthing.
Other than that I have been on Indiblogger, BlogJunta, IndiMag, Cafe Ginger Chai, Pagalguy, writeup cafe, writers forums. Blog junta seems to be dead now. Was on write up cafe for some time but kind of started missing that after it refused to log me in through my twitter. Was too lazy to investigate. Indi Mag made me some real close friends. But unfortunately it shut down. Community activity was very low on Cafe Ginger Chai. Writers forums was so low on activity that I lost interest. Pagalguy was something I joined for connecting with MBA aspirants. Then I remained to give advice. Generally like acting like a Guru and giving out free advice. Who doesn't, eh?
Wow, it's great to know about you The Fool (you should change your name, it's insulting for the word fool too talk so wise. ) I didn't know many of the communities you mentioned. Heard about write up cafe.
I was somewhat mad to add many friends on FB and I have almost stopped now accpeting the requests. For social awareness, I like FB and twitter. Twitter is too fast. But Over use of FB really irritate me. Also coz of fake ids, their wars on FB, I was really fed up with it at one stage.
Again Facebook love ...great.
Facebook...addicted to FB....also active on G+ and Orkut.G+ is slow and Orkut days are gone.FB rocks...never going to quit FB...
Yeah to quit FB is really too much difficult.
I used to spend hours on Facebook once, now I visit only to view notifications and messages. Being a student, it has become indispensible for me. People do everything on fb now- share notes, notify events, schedule meets, plan bunks etc.
Twitter is fast and interesting, but of all the people I know, hardly anyone is active there. Same goes about G+, except the fast and interesting part.
I see that no one has said a word on Linkedin yet. Although, it is less about social and more about networking, but still, we can talk about it as well, can’t we?
Ankesh, yes, I have also managed this FB, for least least time, daily reducing the time.
I was about to add Linked In, I just forgot. Linked in is really good. I love it. Though the possibility to get real friends is almost impossible as it's professional, but I met some nice people there. Some good groups, where people guide. Poetry and spiritual groups are I liked most. I remember, one person replied me a big poem on Advaita, on linked in and that was really unforgettabele. The person was not Indian, it's such a joy to meet the people who are influenced by our culture.
Twitter. Such a wonderful place for sharing ideas. Facebook is fun, upto a point. Then it gets boring. Twitter is constantly interesting.
I too like Twitter whenever cricket matches are on, comments from various famous personality and cricket fans are interesting to follow
Indiamike.com, although as I mentioned in my first blog post, I got kicked out from indiamike.com for saying that they were my favourite social networking site. (Apparently, they want to distance themselves from the sns designation.)
Currently, I am on orkut, which is why I gravitated to blogger as both are owned by google. In the past few months, I have noticed a great decline in interaction. I think more people are gravitating toward google+
I am on Mouthshut, Team Bhp, Facebook, Twitter, Admanya, Youtube and not so active on Okaytatabyebye, Sulekha. Of updating my primary blogspot platform Indiabackpacker.
