What's the specific help do you require? Maybe someone even with limited experience could help you out.

basically designing the blog

You could buy a premium theme rather than having someone to design a blog from scratch which would be an expensive affair and depending on the person might be using the premium theme as a base. Its better this way since premium themes roll out updates as long as possible. I have good experience with ThemeForest which has a lot of designers selling wordpress themes.

Hope the following steps may help you.

Get the free template of Blogspot from various online sources (like btemplate site) as per your choice. The file shall be in .xml format. (Make sure don’t download the other .exe file which would ruin your system and may collect your personal data without your knowledge.)

Go to BlogSpot setting

Click on Template option (at the left side)

Click on “Backup / Restore” option (at top right side)

Click on “Download full template”

Your current blog template with extension of .xml will be saved in ‘Download’ folder in your system by default. (You may use the old template again in case if you don’t like the new free template from other sources uploaded.)

Keep ready your choice of ‘new’ free template from other online sources that have to be the same .xml format file and “upload” it on the very same screen by clicking on “Choose File” option accordingly. Or by clicking on “Backup / Restore” option (at top right side) and on.

Save it and preview your BlogSpot blog with new template…you may change the header / page / setting etc. by using the same Blogspot setting. Nothing to worry if it looks non-segregated…you can arrange them well manually from the same Blogspot setting itself, later on.

Also, try to resize the images or keep around 100kb images on blog posts to avoid page loading issue. Or else, your visitor will run away within fraction of second.

All of you can enjoy your blog appearance :D

All the best ….

Hey Pallavi, you have a nice, appealing blog, I went through a couple of your posts too. You have been blogging regularly since 2013 and that clearly shows your dedication. Your Indirank is also great. Therefore your blog deserves a more professional look.

I have a few suggestions -

To start with,

1. I will suggest you to buy a domain for your blog, it will look very professional. Most of the good hosting sites offer discounts to the new registrants. You can get a .com domain from Godaddy at just Rs 125 or at just Rs 99 from Bigrock.in. You will be worry-free for a full year. From the next year onwards however, renewing that domain will cost you about Rs 750 or thereabouts. But that won't be much of a problem. Since you already have a good reader base, I am sure through sponsored posts, you will be able to set aside the amount for the next year's renewal too.

Since your blog is hosted at blogger.com, so for now, you do not need to take a separate web hosting package. You can continue using blogger for hosting, just transfer the domain name to the one you buy. Thus for the first year, you will be spending only about Rs 125 (godaddy) or Rs 99 (if you choose Bigrock.in).

When you have a custom domain for your blog, you will notice an appreciable increase in sponsored posts. Moreover gradually your Mozranks, alexaranks and other SEO figures will also improve. After buying the domain, in case you need help in transferring/mapping it to your blogger blog, you can always ask for help here. I am sure someone will help you out. Time permitting, I will be happy to help. No issues at all Smile

2. The dark green background that your blog currently has, can be an eye sore for some people. Most readers prefer a white background with a dark coloured text (black or likewise). Do not worry about buying any template. Of course the more professional and bug-free templates are mostly not free ones. But with a little bit of Google searching, you will still be able to find some fairly good looking blogger templates. Now that most people access internet through their cell phones, therefore it will be better if the template you choose is mobile-responsive.

Search on google for "free responsive blogger templates 2016", you will see a lot of articles with screenshots of the templates and their download links. Look for the date of the article, a later date of the published article will mean that it would have got the latest templates.

I can suggest you a few free but professional looking blogger templates

1. http://elegant-themexpose.blogspot.in/

2. http://life-fashion-themexpose.blogspot.in/

3. http://swift-soratemplates.blogspot.in/

4. http://josephine-soratemplates.blogspot.in/

5. http://charm-oddthemes.blogspot.in/

6. http://bridal-soratemplates.blogspot.in/

7. http://demo.veethemes.com/demo?theme=Classic%20Tradition

8. http://bastro-sbt.blogspot.in/

However, before changing the template, please make sure to take backup of your current template. Most of us while taking the backup only save the HTML code of our current template and often forget about the "LAYOUT" tab on blogger! So do not forget to save all the html code for each widget section (on the right side of your blog) that you have made through the LAYOUT tab on blogger. Save each HTML code on a notepad separately for each widget.

After logging into blogger, click on TEMPLATE, then on EDIT TEMPLATE, copy the entire code of your current template and save it on notepad. Now you can paste the code of your new template.

Now once again go back and click on the "Template" tab on the left. Click on the star like symbol that you see on the right of EDIT TEMPLATE, below "Mobile".http://i.imgur.com/dhsyoF4.png

A new tab will open up when you click on that star and you will be asked to choose from the two options. Choose the second option - "No. Show desktop template on mobile devices" and save.

Since your new template would be mobile responsive, so it will automatically adopt itself to the size of the mobile device. If this option is not chosen, a plain, bland style of blogger will instead show up on your reader's screen when they visit your site, very unlike your new template.

3. I also noticed that your alexa rank is still in millions (4, 124, 872). You can improve on that and bring it down - the lower the better. Just search on google with "download and install alexa bar", download it and install it on google chrome. You can also register at alexa.com with the same email id that you use to log into your blogger blog. No need to go for the paid membership, even with the free membership, you will be able to see most of your web stats.

By installing the alexa bar, you will be able to vastly improve your overall alexa rank as well as the Indian traffic rank (which is currently showing zero).

You already have got 10 backlinks, as you can see in the above image. The more backlinks you get, the better will be your Mozrank and thus will be your overall Indirank too.

4. After transferring your current blog to a new domain, your Indirank will fall down but don't worry, you will eventually get back your rank in the next three-four months.

Oh, I forgot to tell you about how to install the new template. You probably already know it but in case you do not know, follow these steps. After you choose a particular template and download it, it would most probably be in a zipped format (a RAR file probably). You will be able to extract the XML file from it if you have Win RAR installed on your system.

http://i.imgur.com/H5nuHPo.png

After you have extracted the XML file, right click on it, scroll down to the last option PROPERTIES and click it.

http://i.imgur.com/kBrzVhX.png

A new tab will open up, now click on the change button as I have shown in the above image.Choose "Notepad" instead of XML Editor.

http://i.imgur.com/hlrxys5.png

Then click on OK button, then again on "APPLY" button and finally on "OK" button.

It becomes much easier to edit the code when it's in text file format. Now go back to the folder containing the template's extracted XML code. Click it, will open up in notepad. On notepad, click on the third tab FORMAT. You will initially see a tick mark beside WORD WRAP. Click on Word Wrap one time, and the tick mark will go away.

(This step is essential for when we are copying HTML code from a notepad file, unless word wrap is unchecked, some of the hyperlinks inside the HTML code piece will break.)

Now press Control A (select all), then Control C (copy), then control V (paste) inside the template box of your blogger to install the new template.

And yes, like HR suggested, you don't need to have the full sized photos in your blog posts, even a 700 x 500 pixels picture will do. So resizing your photos will help in faster loading of your website. And if possible, save them in JPEG or GIF format, their size will reduce considerably and will also help in faster loading. When we have the full resolution pictures in our blogposts, the pages take time to load. You will lose out on visitors if your blog takes too much time to load fully. You can do another thing too -

keep at most 8-10 posts on the main page (home page) of your blogger blog. Doing this will also help in making your blog load faster. Since you mostly write on lifestyle products, so obviously your posts will have a lot of pictures. So having about 8-10 posts on the home page will be a better option.
