Deletion of spam posts that have been reported as such

Does this work? I reported a number of spam posts. From I can tell others did too. Those posts still exist.

By the way, I have noticed a few blogs where multiple people upload their posts. Good. However, is there an IndiPolicy for such blogs where the entry in a contest is by person A but the post is written by person B? Do you think it is fair that some such blog owner wins a contest, even though he may not write so much but depends on his team of contributors who specialize in different topics and write well?

I thought that this is not fair because this hide the talent of a person . And yes the independent creators do not able to show their best because not every people are all rounder and yes every people are good in a particular thing if the team member write a post in which he is good then the talent of the other person get hidden . We have to learn and try every thing so that we can move forward .

Please do not hijack this post. I have ZERO interest in contests. if you have any issues with contests, their conduct, rules etc., I suggest creating a separate thread.

Ok. But I really thought this was also an extended definition of spam.

I have updated the subject to make it clearer.

Usually Spam reports go to the admin staff while all the deletion is carried out by volunteer moderators a.k.a Indipolice. I guess with forum and chat activity hitting an all time low, none of the Indipolice are engaging much on the forums. So they are not checking and deleting. I guess till some months back Sorc alone was fighting lone battle against spam. But he seems missing in action now. The admin staff who get the spam reports I guess are assuming Indipolice is taking care and so not jumping into action. Sounding very much like a government office, eh?

I tried deleting a few. But this woman Priyanka has spammed like hell. It will takes ages to manually delete. Guess the admin staff should run a query in the back end to delete all her posts.

I am not missing in action. I am simply refusing to do anything. I only moderated for the people, not for indiblogger. Everything is falling apart, Plus admins are not doing anything about plagiarists that were caught in the blog review section. We can't ban people and now we can't expect any response or action from the admins to ban people who do wrong. I know a large section of bloggers copy and paste/re-write but if the quality is not maintained then it is the same idiots who will copy somebody else's content And now a majority of the people who were regulars in the forums left. When was the last time we saw any of the admins even responding? I've been moderating tech forums for a very long time. And usually, the absence and inaction of site admins are usually the sign is inevitable demise. So for whom would I be moderate for except for a few I can count with one hand? PLagiarists? Content rewriters? Or those Internet marketers who have no shred of ethics? Some of these 'bloggers' even duped their own friends with substandard hosting just so that they can make a very little amount of money from it. Most of such people are the ones spamming in the forums.

Unless admins make drastic changes to reinvigorate the community (for bloggers, not for plagiarists), what's the point? I've held this long because we had some activity. Renie assured the forums will be revamped. Nothing happened. Atleast for once, implement something and say 'we have done this!' rather than saying 'we will do this!' and then do nothing.

I just posted two of my latest posts to Indivine. Just for the heck of it. I fully expect to have a few likes without a corresponding increase in traffic... ( I hear ya, Sorc... )
