How to get google ranking

The best thing you can do for your PR seems at the moment seems to be getting listed in Dmoz.org - The Open Directory Project. It's a good idea to have the linking text contain your keywords as Google even says itself in its description of its Pagerank technology that it analyzes pages that links come from.

getting listed on Dmoz isnt easy. It may take a few weeks to more than a year to get listed on Dmoz.org.

I think its better to be listed in Dmoz.org no matter how long it takes but it should not be considered as an immediate solution for getting a google PageRank..

We are going to get just one link from Dmoz.org if at all our blog is listed and there are thousands of sites to which Dmoz links. How can a link from one site change the pagerank drastically?

Write good, keep commenting on other Blogs. The more you comment the more chances you have. But make sure your comments are genuine. 

Emphasis on good content. high light key words, use them in the content and the title, tags, comment replies. make sure they are readable replies and dont bombard replies with those keywords. 

Use social networking. publish URLs on TWitter, FB, Orkut, and others. this wya you will be able to attract a better back link base.

Great tips. I have followed all those things except that one about social networking but still my page rank is a good big ZERO

more you publisize  your blow the more chances for u to have a better google page rank....

Get more backlink > Get higher PR!
