Dear Sir,

I went through your blog today as a part of the blog review programme and these were the points which came to my mind.

Content:

What I liked:I liked the way you had made it a letter form. I felt as if you were talking directly to me and it was nice.

What I would recommend: I couldnot find any tags. I.e You write about diverse subjects some I may be interested and some I may not be. I would like to go to the posts you write about a particular subject. So maybe you could include tags. Maybe you could concentrate on write posts on a similiar topics. Personally I liked the mixture type posts.

Design:

What I liked:The colour and design was simple which reflected you in a sense. It complemented the content.

What I would recommend: To keep the font a dark coulour itself. It is easier to the eye.  White is a bit glaring. So my feed back would be to keep the background the brown colour but the text background as white and font as black or brown.

Dear Ashish,

Here's my review of your blog.

The good thing about your blog is that the posts are short and easy to read and on diverse topics.

I see a scope for improvement in the following areas:

1. As the background is dark, it's a bit strainous to read. A lighter background with dark font will make it easier on the eyes.

2. It wil be good if in a 'About' section you tell your readers what your blog is about and who are the target readers.

3. Adding labels and tags will improve searcability of the posts.

4. People generally like to read things that are useful to them or have a great emotional apeal. While writing the posts if you keep in mind, how your post will be of value to your target readers,  then readers may revisit your blog more often or recommend it to others. This is the toughest part. Perhaps you can use your specialzation in renewable energy to come up with posts pertinent to the subject that will be of use to people with an interest in the sector.

5. Adding illustrations is a good way to break the monotony.

6. Use Headings and Sub headings in your posts to highlight key areas.

7. Give related links to your previous posts or to a few relevant sites.

8. Include your twitter handle in the blog.

9. Include your blogging community in your blog.

10. Use compulsive headings. For example you have a post titled 'green energy'. That's a vast topic, so maybe instead of saying 'green energy' , rename the heading to something more specific.

These are my observations. Hope you find them useful.

Another point that came to my mind after I submitted my review is that try to write more often. Maybe once a week.
