If you are in a relationship, just married, or ‘plain’ married, this is a book to pick up for an entertaining evening filled with nods of ‘having being there’ and many a laugh.
It describes the situation so perfectly about a newly married life. I've heard all these experiences from my married friends and now that I am myself going to get into the wedlock, reading this book gave me a lot of pre- learning . There were lot of topics mentioned on a lighter note. The most important concept this book follows is that it is realistic. Great work,Yahodhara!
My review of the book. Bring them more Yashodhra Lal & Indiblogger!
Just Married Please Excuse by Yashodhara Lal is a story of two people who get spliced despite being complete opposites. As they say, opposites get attracted and marriage follows. What happens after that forms the major part of the story.
Hilarious, honest take on life as a young wife, and as a mother.
This book does have its share of ‘magical’ writing… though I wish such pages could’ve been more in number.
The catchy title of the book does full justice to the fun-filled, roller-coaster journey of life after marriage between two people who are as different as chalk and cheese.
This autobiographical type of book is simple to read and easy to understand and most valuable to all the readers in general. This maiden effort of the author and the true support of the publisher ‘Harper Collins’ is highly commendable indeed.
Yashodhara Lal has did a stunning job when it came to writing her debut novel, Its simple, its sensitive and its sensible.
Every marriage has some complexity. This books gives us a humor-laced account on love, marriage and parenthood story.A totally enjoyable read ...
An enjoyable read and easy writing style with a generous dose of humor. Totally believable and realistic account of various situations that unfold through the book in a very charming way. Loved the book.
All the things, which we could say about this nice novel, we have written in the Review. Hope you guys like reading it and do let us know your feedback on it. Thanks!!
The book begins very slow and I had a hard time getting myself to continue reading it. The cliche of a smart-bossy girl meeting a rustic-meek/geek and the blossoming of love between the two put me off. To be honest, I continued to read the book only because of the commitment to the Indiblogger program and the charming intervention of the author on my Facebook wall.
Glimpses of the book's story line, my experience reading the book, author's style of writing, what to watch out for and more...
A light refreshing read. Although I do think that the use of the infamous Hinglish language and a couple of grammatical errors could have been avoided.
What happens when a MBA fresh out of B school falls in love with her senior at work and they decide to tumble into the land of holy matrimony after just three months of courting – mayhem and loads of fun ! This is what Just Married Please excuse is all about !
In short with ‘Marriage’ and all that it entails.
Despite having a very thin story-line the book was utterly humorous. Yashodhara Lal has a writing style which will make you smile throughout the book. It is not one of those books that rattle your brain but all it does is tickle you and that I believe was the sole purpose of the writer.
Book Review: Just Married, Please Excuse
Story about love, marriage, relationships and everything else a normal human would face, written in a fun filled book of 253 pages. Find out how the lives of a big city girl and a small town boy turns over when they get married.
The book is full of humorous punches, so take care not to read in a place surrounded by unknown people... The book is a must read for dating couples to get an idea of the possible humor in life and take the plunge in to matrimony and married couples to look back at their past follies and laugh!
Most of the Fiction books talk about a girl and boy falling in love, convincing parents, fighting the odds and getting married and then living happily ever after. But do they really live happily ever after; this is the book which tells the story of that happily ever after phase, or not so happily ever after phase.
What happens when a temperamental IIM graduate marries a laid back guy from a small town? Trouble!?!

A gangly man proposes to a spicy girl who'd rather have adventures in life.... What is new to the story. A lot, as it turns out, in delightful bursts of humour.
Fast-paced, pleasurable and syrupy, on the whole, it is a fine luminous interpret, which is pink and polished and is a perfectly significant section with a sixth sense of veracity in every stretch in black and white with ardour and attitude that will stay you passionate for hours with undeniable chortle out shrill flashes, while covenanting with solemn substance with a sardonic sense of humour.

This one was not a match made in heaven. It was made right here on here, and that what makes it so real and lovable.
Yashodhara just solidified what I have known earlier. Husband/wife relationship is just opposite of mother/child relationship because mother and child begin as a single individual who later up end up as different individuals, whereas husband and wife begin as different individuals but try to become a single individual after being married.
