There aren't trains between 10 am and 4 pm on sundays if theres a block, don't know if theres this sunday though. As Purnima suggests best option will be till Vadala by train and then take a taxi or if there are 3-4 people then may be pool a taxi.

Ya. I too was concerned about the Mega Block. But we have to reach venue at around 11am. So we have to leave from our home before 9:45 am, to be precise. (For me at least, Cos i will be traveling from Panvel) We need a meeting ground.

Hi Deeppzz. Thanks for calling up Laxmi. I have found out that there is an AC bus that goes from Vashi Depot. Here are the timings, 09:00 09:20 09:40 10:00 10:20. I think 9:20 will suit us. Or we can meet at Vashi station;from there head towards the venue

@Vibha, Purnima, Laxmi, Deeppzz, Preeti - Mega block mostly starts after 10.40am. I'll update the timings tom morning on www.mumbai-localtrains.com. Generally during mega block harbour lines take the main central route so we can get off directly at parel.

@Vibha, Purnima, Laxmi, Deeppzz, Preeti - 592 is a good option as well as we can get off at Nehru Planetarium . But the frequency of AC buses is poor on Sundays.

@Vibha, Purnima, Laxmi, Deeppzz, Anuradha I think we should get down at Kurla station and take autos from there. That is very convenient, and we don't have to worry about mega block. Trains continue till Kurla all the time.

Sometimes it doesn't. In that case it goes till Vashi only. But I think we have to leave before megablock begins, to reach the destination on time. so the megablock is really not that big a concern. So we at least need to leave by 9.30 am, what say?
