Thumbs up for using wordpress, you really know the pros for using wordpress rather than blogger. Really happy to see such a nice elegant theme used. You need to cut out the header image, it's too big to load. Did a tiny research, the content is unique so no worries, niche selected is good for you(may be). Next step must be adding a personal .com domain to get more proffesional touch. It even helps you give more visitors through various search engines. Search for "best plugins for wordpress" and download the best to add a touch with social media pings and other widgets. Great going, keep the energy running.
