How do you overcome Bloggers block?
Lets be honest it hits every blogger at some point when they just don't feel like writing a blog post, everything seems clustered and the more you think about blogging the more you are unable to blog?
Share some tips for days when your status update says"Unable to blog these days"
If you are really passionate about what you are blogging, then the chances of Bloggers block are less. But then a short break, once in a while, can always help. :)
@subhorup ...OMG I think that's good enough reasons and topics for me to start writting a post!!And the last one is just perfect for me now!
@ The Sorcerer- yeah I should stop thinking way to much and write my dear dairy the way it started a year back!!
@ Anunoy-True That!Everything taken !
If just chill is not what you want to hear, here are some others. Read like Anunoy suggested. Subscribe to prompt based groups. Set yourself a daily word count target. Take a notebook and go out for a long walk, jotting down ideas as you encounter them. Try descriptive writing, taking an everyday situation or even object or a person and describing him in a post. Do a photo essay. Write a letter to your blog. Write about Sushma Swaraj. Write about writing about Sushma Swaraj. Write about not writing about Sushma Swaraj. (You can replace Sushma Swaraj with any name of your choice.) Write a letter to your kid, past, present or future. Write a letter to your self, past, present or future. Write a post on how to deal with bloggers block. Tweet out asking what your followers would like to read about. Make a list of post topics that you would like to see and then try writing them yourself. Initiate a dialog with other bloggers by commenting ontheir posts. Write a post describing your bloggers block.
thanks Man... got to use these ideas
@Anunoy-yeah m currently reading and catching up with a lot of fellow bloggers blog but believe me its more depressing to see everyone else going on with great spirits ..makes me more envious!!oh me!
@Micky-you haven't till date?oh that's great ..yeah yeah m getting inspired!
Grrr... you need to chang your pattern of thinking Lipsy
just think, if you don't come out of your courtyard and see the neighbours then you won't even know how fast the rest of the world is rushing... and you'll simply stay in an illusion that your speed is perfect just like that frog in the well! Look, some of the very common benefits of spending your time in reading others' blogs are:-
*improvement of your vocabulary
*diversification of your ideas/thought processes
*Socialisation & making readers for your writings!!!
*forgetting your ongoing agony (not bad eh?)
* etc etc................................ so many more actually.....
So throw off your green lens and think about it more practically
@Animesh..a few months are a way to much and might effect the blog traffic and getting things back on track..don't you think so?
You're right, but if I am not able to concentrate on writing, its worth not writing rather than writing something crap. Traffic can be regenerated.
I think that Anunoy's suggestion is accurate and sound. I have not encountered Bloggers' Block, perhaps because I read many other blogs, and drawinspiration from them.
glad to meet you co-thinker
you'll be happy again and well motivated if you spend that wicked time in reading what others have blogged .... Try it Lipsy...
