For the past 3-4 days karnataka, andhrapradesh and parts of maharashtra are in grip of the heavy downpour resulting in major floods and loss of houses crops  n a heavy death toll.. and i see the state govt. demanding for crore's rupees for supply of food and other supplies.. and the demand stays still standing...

we have lost lakhs of indians lives during tsunami in 2004 and the floods in bihar.... are we prepared for another..? are we equipped..?  has india learnt its lesson are its still a "work in progress.? "

Yes I agree. Its always a work in progress. Not only in India, but all over the world. The damage control is better than before thanks to Tsunami. How ever it needs much more attention than its getting now.
