The contest will be judged on creativity, originality and interaction.here interaction with whom is mentioned?

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

@ Renie You need to clear the doubt atleast now or it is bound to enter every discussion thread of contests

DS
from Mumbai |

Yes Renie, this interaction thing is getting on the nerves of many of us...

Vineet Rajan
from Mumbai |

Hi

The interaction would involve - the quality of comments (not number) and your interaction with your readers on them and how you are able to drive discussions around the topic. In no way when we say interactions does it factor the number of comments.

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

A query cleared after a very long time. Thanks Vineet.

DS
from Mumbai |

Yup, that reply was long due.
Thanks Vineet:)

Stephen

Benares is nearest one dude, to my place. & killing two birds in one stone.

Ranjith

Why can't you wash your clothes in your house and why do you wish to wash your clothes at Benaras? Innocent

RioZee

Ranjith

Gautam Maitra

Hi Pramodji! there is no better place to wash soul than Benares....a boiling pot of past, distant past and Indian religiosity ....happy journey  :)

Ranjith

Wonderful!Looks as if IB and the sponsorers want to gift every user with an i pad. Smile

RioZee

Ranjith

@ Renie everyone needs an i pad here. Please bring the sponsorer for it soon. Tongue out

Gautam Maitra

Its a new trend - that big corporates are spending on blog and picking up new ideas and masala for future ad commercials.

Originality - that's fine

creativity - that's fine

interaction - its vague keeping the Ace card with the judges.

Finally, it's not clear whether the entry is for a narrative or a slogan based. Someone explained that there would be no insistence on product promotion for weightage.

That's fine. But do the contest need a beautiful story line  or a beautiful quick drama like commercial. If that gets clarifed and last but not the least, the word limits.

Cheers

Vineet Rajan
from Mumbai |

Gautam, neither do the posts need a slogan nor do they need a drama like a commercial. Its a blogging contest! Write how you usually do if it were any of your other blog posts! And all the best!

Another topic I can write on Smile

I could actually do with 2 more hours in a day.Atleast my blogging frequency would increaseTongue out

Avi
from Kolkata |

Sure, but lemme win it first :P ;)

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

Writing for the playbook instead of the i pad isn't recommended. What is you win both the i pads or infact more than that for multiple entries are allowed? You may give one to me and one to Pooja Smile

Pooja
from Nagpur |

but i  want the playbook :(

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

@ Avi To ensure that you get the playbook, simply submit multiple entries and become the first IndiMember to win more than one prize. Smile

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

@ Pooja Sell the i pad and buy your playbook Smile

Avi
from Kolkata |

Well as I said I am a die heart Android fan, but, if I will get any one of these, it would be great, as I could shoot a video review of them for my tech blog. But...

Avi
from Kolkata |

@ Mods- BTW, iPad 2 =??? 16/32/64GB??? You know... It will become an extra inspiration for us.

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

Assume it to be 64 GB and write... so that you will be really inspired. It might most probably be a 16 GB since the details are not given Smile

Avi

Just wanted to clarify about entry submissions.. It says contest closes on 25th Nov midnight.. is that the same as last day to submit entry or is there a cut off date to submit entires too?? Please clarify. Thanks :)

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

25 th November is the last day to submit your entry. Closing date of the is simply the last date by which you need to submit your entry.

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

But still, it is recommended that you submit your entry as soon as possible so that your post and thereby your blog gets more exposure and unforseen circumstances may crop up in the alst minute.

And you can edit your submitted blog post as mnay times as you want till the 25th of Nivemebre (though I am not sure of it)

All the best

DS
from Mumbai |

Yup its best to submit your entries as soon as possible...

Sir Ji fingers crossed rakhiye till the last submission date of this contest Wink We will be highly obliged. Moreover, after (according to you IF) you win your first iPad 2 in few days time, make sure to keep yourself busy with that & avoid this Tongue out

Debajyoti Ghosh

Hi I am new here and not familiar with the contest thing.  Is "If you had two extra hours in a day, how would you spend it?" the topic?  Also when I clicked on 'submit your entry' it redirected to indivine.  I know I am sounding a little dumb but is this the standard procedure?

DS
from Mumbai |

Yup, that is the topic. You can write any post on that topic. And then submit it in indivine through the Contest Page as you say, simple steps, just follow them...
All the best:)

Avi
from Kolkata |

It's just like submitting other post links, first write about it on your blogm then come to the contest page & click on submit entry, then submit it like normal ways. Bingo...

Chanda Himanshu

I guess its time that the interactivity element should be removed from contests. Its difficult to judge on this. Creativity should be the only decision factor. Many bloggers might have delved now into main stream blogging. So if interactivity means more comments ? They might not have one! If that means Indi Forum comments. It would be different. How can we judge interactivity between comments, indiforum, twitter, fb etc What weightage do they get...

Pretty darn confusing. Why not write a post as you would and if the judges like it you win ! thats it...

BTW 1 more question. Do we need to link back to anything ?

DS
from Mumbai |

I personally think that interaction plays a very small, if any, in deciding the winners. It is the creativity. And you can link back to the surf site if you wish but that is not compulsory. You can also link back to the indivine page of your post, asking people to promote it if they like it. But that too is not necessary as votes do not matter in winning the contest.

Nikhil Poddar
from Kolkata |

Interaction should only come into play as a tiebreaker

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

I wonder if any tie breaker arises while judging the posts!

DS
from Mumbai |

I dont think so.

sasikumar
from chennai |

shall I write in tamil language for this contest..

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

I suggest that you write in English itself. What if teh judges don't understand Tamil?

Varun Gawarikar
from Manama |

I agree with DS and Himanshu. Interaction with readers is becoming more and more difficult unless the readers are your friends and family.

Plus what if the blog is "networked Blog" i.e comments on facebook for the syndicated blog posts / Google Plus ? Google Reader ?

I know I dont get many comments on Fb (people only "like" it) or google plus, there must be lot of people here who have active interaction on FB's networked blogs too.

Just my two bits of input.

RioZee
from Out of this yEt in this World |

varun, it is disappointing, but I have seen none of family members take you seriously, or comments. only bloggers, and blogger friends with whom we interact, do comment. & it becomes like family. i have a great circle of fb friends, but no one has time to look at them even.

so write best , and make great friends, & best wishes.

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

I accept with Pramod on this issue. Family members and friends are more faithful than other bloggers when it comes to following a blog closely. But they hardly comment. What is the need to say something on a blog when they talk directly to us daily?

Gautam Maitra
from Ahmedabad |

that's correct - interaction is a criteria - how the judges judge interaction....anyway, participation is thrilling ...what is in one's hand is ...let the post go...rest relieved with what wud u do with your rest of 22 hours :))

Avi
from Kolkata |

Very important issue, both Varun & Pramod ji well pointed out. Family & friends just follow, hardly read or comment, even the FB or G+ friends.

You need to create your fan base on a forum like this or through email database.

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

e mail database! I never heard it till this very day! Innocent

Pramod Ji, I do agree with you.  This one contest has taken up my page views tremendously. Never was I actually blogging for contests or was my blog "topical". Just pure ranting actually. But Indiblogger and such contests do help in a way. And I am glad that We all are part of this :)

So happy blogging and happy reading blogs :)
