I was just reading this thread and now I have one question. What exactly is self promotion? I get it that when you try to sell on blog forum, it's unethical. But except that, I don't know what's this about. Anybody care to explain?

Self promotion is going around begging people to read your blog or vote for it. People find it as irritating as the beggqrs in the real world coming to beg for money. So like how real world police clears beggars from the streets, Indipolice on this forum keeps the forum clean of beggars.

TF, got your point. However, please note that in real life police do not clear beggars from the streets but they collect taxes from them to let them stay where they are Smile

TF, this is a thread which I had posted sometime ago. Not sure if it has helped anybody.

However could you delete it if it isn't relevant? - http://www.indiblogger.in/forum/topic.php?id=13421

Thanks,

Sheldon

No Ranjith. I would have happily moved the review thread to correct category in that case.

Hi The Fool, So Guest post request is not allowed in Indi Blogger?

And if it is can you tell me the guidelines to ask for guest post for my blog.

TF Carthick
from Bangalore |

Well - your website looks like a comercial website and not a blog. If you are a comercial website seeking guest posts, you should mention clearly what you require. Just putting title as guest post and giving your site link is advertising. Advertising not allowed.
