I lost my PageRank! It was 2 and now its 0!!! Does anybody know why?

It just got funny! the Feedjit live update in real time page for my website has a page rank of 2....

What is it that is happening?

Ya the loss of backlinks can be the reason...  it could also be that the kind of content you put on your site and the type of content of the sites which are linked to your site, I mean if the content is totally different it can sometimes result in a downfall in ranking...

Any changes you have made to the site??

Thanks guys. I will read you link. But i one question. If link backs are added, then that does not translate to a page rank update instantly, then how do removal these link backs removes page rank instantly?

why do you guys care about the PR ? if at all you want it , start building 100's or maybe 1000s of  links in high PR site and in the next google PR updates you PR is sure to increase.

but the main thing is ... is it worth the time ? thats for you to decide ;)

Guys, thanks. I was just taking this thing a bit serious since my blog is now getting more than 70% of traffic from search engines. It was less that 30% before the PR Update.

There was no PR update, but I believe Google has penalized some blogs for some reason, am not sure why. WATblog also recently lost their PR, it's down from 5 to 3. Hemal, are you using an SEO plugin?

    same thing happend to me couple of months ago. The reason for loosing the PR is link marketing. If you are subscribed to(or added any links) through link marketnig websites then i suggest remove them completely.

   You can get the rank back by submitting a reconsideration request to google in google webmaster.

   I was also shocked when i lost my blog's (http://allinone-bangalore.blogspot.com/) PR. But i got it back the way i mentioned.

Oh yes Renie. I am using the wp plug in for seo. I think that might be culprit. Will disable it right away

Guys there is one more conflict. The page rank checker wp plug in still shows my pr as 2 but the google tool car says 0

Google had updated the PR for may it seems... saw some other posts today on the forum

From last 2 years, abhisays.com's page rank was 0. Now it has become 3.  Can anybody predict the reason?
