While I'm not sure if I liked the topic, the design of the contest page looks great! Smile

Then, assuming that I would be participating and winning the Rs 1000 voucher, I went to the online store to see what I would be buying but couldn't find anything... Undecided The shopping site should offer chocolates.. Wink

And , the concept below looks new!

Now, what would I be doing if I host a party? Innocent

there are so many contests going on indiblogger Surprised

Anunoy Samanta
from Bardhaman |

hmmm so that dying blogs get a second life Wink

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

... In the near future, we might be having a new contest ( or two to three ) every week. Wink

And those days are not far way. Till date, we had eight contests in 2013 = 0.5/week . Smile

Anunoy Samanta
from Bardhaman |

hmmm professionals can leave their full-time job and earn from blogging....

you know how?

by selling contest gifts WinkLaughingTongue out

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

I had exactly the same thoughts in my mind when I was new to this site. I had seen the same people winning prizes in every contest and wondered if there was a need for them to work. But now, I feel that it is not that easy to sell prizes ( we love them too much ) and even if one sells them, the money that a person gets from them will probably never exceed his monthly salary.

AS : An exercise for you - Try adding up the prices of the first prize of every contest and see how much a person would have earned if he was the winner in all the contests. Wink

Anunoy Samanta
from Bardhaman |

Hahahaaa Ranjith... I didn't even receive any product sample till date, so why to take that pain...  anyway I accept whatever be your opinion, coz you're the guy with too many tablets Wink

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

I got only one tablet and I did not even look at it till now. It's at my home. Undecided

Anunoy Samanta
from Bardhaman |

nevermind... lumia is on its way... Wink

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

How can I expect a lumia? Innocent The judges would have gone mad after reading my post! Surprised

Anunoy Samanta
from Bardhaman |

hmmm sometimes we throw away things when we go mad, don't we? Laughing

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

Then, let the judges go mad. Tongue out

Ranjith

I hope that a new contest / IndiMeet would soon replace this one on the home page spotlight. Every time I visit IB, I feel like running home right now seeing those pictures! Cry

Anunoy Samanta
from Bardhaman |

honestly it's not my type too Tongue out

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

Now, it's replaced! Smile

But I don't like that apple painted with blood. Cry

Anunoy Samanta
from Bardhaman |

it's not your fault... it's human mind... Laughing

Fairy Princess
from Delhi |

BTW, what's the word count limit?

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

IndiContests do not have word limits.

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

Is it one combo pack per entry or one combo pack per participant? Laughing

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

Hope so! Smile

Anunoy Samanta
from Bardhaman |

Good luck Combo-pack seekers Tongue out

Balasubramaniam A M

should all the items served only from Kitchens of India, they as of now seem to have a limited range of products

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

I don't think all items should be from Kitchens of India. Include a few so that the judges from KOI feel happy! Smile

... And there is no need to follow the rules word by word. Just write what you feel maintaining at least some relation with the topic. Even such entries win. :)

Mamata Patil

Here is my entry for the contest !

Sfurti Juztamom

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

Not sure :|

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

Two more winners declared - with surprise gifts!

Even now, they forgot my name:((

Ashreya
from vishakaptinam |

Ranjith : may be they want to give u a stay at ITC hotel.. so they are not giving you small surprise gifts.. :)

Sumit Nangia
from Pune |

How do we get these Wildcraft Ruksacks ?? I also want oneFrown

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

They are surprise prizes. These have been given to few good entries from those submitted till now. They are like other prizes with the difference that they are awarded during the contests and not at the end.

Gitanjali Banerjee
from Delhi |

When will they send the bag. I didn't get any mail or any correspondence. This is the first time I won something on Indiblogger, so am not sure of the process...can anyone guide

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

I think that they will dispatch all the prizes at once.

Normally, it takes around 1-2 months for the prizes to be sent.

Canary
from Bangalore |

yesterday the kitchens of india second winners' list was supposed to be out? I have my fingers crossed :)

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

I think that they were busy with the apollo results. Wink

Dipti

New to contests in indiblogger, so just curious to know! Do the judges/fellow bloggers even read all the entries or just choose the most based on the likes as other websites do?

Nandini Deka
from Bombay |

its written on contest pages clearly votes/likes donot matter

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

The winners are chosen after reading the entries.

IndiVine votes, facebook likes and other thing do not matter.

Do the judges/fellow bloggers

Winners are chosen by judges who would be members from the IndiTeam ( and / or ) the sponsor. Fellow bloggers have no role in deciding the winners.

Avadhoot
from Jabalpur |

@R: but love of fellow bloggers could gove a little psychological twist to the indifferent disposition of evaluators.

After all they too are humans and not bots. Wink

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

The mention of bots and humans reminds me of the Smasung Tab contest where a person demanded an excel sheet containing the names of the participants and the marks allotted for creativity, originality and interaction. Tongue out

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

I'm thinking of submitting around 100 entries in these five days so that my family need not buy groceries for a year. SealedTongue outWink

Nandini Deka
from Bombay |

how many u submitted till now??

Ritu KT
from New Delhi |

Ranjith - Are they really offering a year long supply of groceries, then I'll post 101 Tongue out

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

@ nadini Only one Frown

@ Ritu Yes, if you submit 100 entries, you will get 100 combo packs = 100 * 400 = 40 000 Rs Tongue out

Nandini Deka
from Bombay |

in this contest the voucher and combos are looking more attactive than the main prize EmbarassedMoney mouthTongue out

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

Even I feel the same. Tongue out

Bhakti Sharma
from Pune |

Can I just win one prize on Indiblogger for some contest Innocent please :(

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

Keep trying and one day you will surely win. Smile

As you participate in more and more contests, you will be able to tell what impresses the judges and what doesn't; at least with 50% accuracy. Wink

Now, don't ask me how I arrived on the 50% figure. Tongue out

Fairy Princess
from Delhi |

One question: can my post include fictional characters whom i love? Innocent

Avadhoot
from Jabalpur |

Sure but is should enthuse evaluators besides serving the purpose of the sponsors. Cool

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

@ Pankti Do one thing - Write an article on a party which includes chatting with people on WeChat ( even though they are present right beside you ) followed by dishes from KOF. Include Renie, some fictional charcters and the judges ( if at all you know who they are ) Submit it for this contest as well as WeChat. Wink

* I'm not responsible if your entry gets disqualified saying that the same one was submitted for both contests. Tongue out

Bhakti Sharma
from Pune |

Awesome Ranjoth..you are so full of ideas!

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

But converting those ideas to a post is the most difficult thing - sometimes I'm able to do it... sometimes everything goes wrong. Undecided

Fairy Princess
from Delhi |

I never though Ranjith will reply back if he was addressed as "Ranjoth" Innocent

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

That was a typo ( o and i keys are adjacent ) - so no problem Smile

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

No problem Smile

Bhakti Sharma
from Pune |

Thanks Ranjith..you sure know the trick so may be you could share some tips :)

Bhakti Sharma
from Pune |

wowwww...that's a great tip. Will try that for further contests. And yes you definitely are way too creative. remember seeing one of your entries which was a short story with lot of images..super impressed!

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

Smile .
