Best strategy would be to mix all of them and write a small novel as a blog post.
Or submit many posts, each one in a different style - real, imaginary, art etc

I agree. 95% of my soon-to-be award-winning post is factual. However, some facts were left out, and other facts were rearranged, and some things were embellished.
The important thing is the theme. How you get to that is up to you.

I like the topic of this contest, not because I am sold on the concept but for some other reason. The title will (most probably) be - "Do you love me or this Platinum?".
