Warnock'sdilemma ? Click the link here to understand where I am coming from.
That's the reason nobody replies to so many of our posts.
Indifference, selfishness, self-centredness.
There are huge number of blogs listed on IndiBlog looking for review and feedback. But some get insane amount of responses and all others get completely ignored.
This reflects upon us and belies our assumption that we are a mature blogging community.
Blogging? Nobody doubts that. We are too full of ourselves and can't wait to spout out our prose and occassionally our poetry.
Mature? No way. Please see some of the reviews.
"I liked you blog. Please see mine." predominates. Useful feedback? Not likely! No feedback - the ultimate fate of the majority.
Community? Warnock's dilemma is a predominant feature of Indian email groups or discussion forums. We are here for ourselves!
I'm here to see my indirank, the responses to my posts, to publicise my blog, to learn to improve my act!
But participate, help, community work? Indians are very poor networkers indeed! Sab ko apnekaich dekhne ka hai! (With no apologies to Bambaiya hindi)
If this were a ' phoren ' group, some good samaritan would acknowledge the backlog, network a few into volunteering, generously give some time to the cause and help the blogger newbies with a honest review.
So I propose that any of us who has this self-image of being a "serious blogger", take the trouble to do at least one review each time we log into Indiblogger.
That way, imperceptibly the backlog goes, we explore new worlds, make new friends and do social service at the same time.
Faujis lead the way! I am hereby enlisting mysef as a "Warnock's reviewer". One blog review everytime I log on Indiblog.
Any one else wants to join me?
Reason: aargh, poor copy-edits (bangs head against wall!)

And yes thanks Ashwin , I wud sure try to review blogs now and then ..
