Hi,
I have been blogging for six months now..and the blog is all about my families move to a new country and all the things that we had to do and have done since. Would love your feedback, besides the fact that I have not been updating as frequently as I used to, and maybe adding more pictures.
It is nice that as a community of bloggers from India, we have this platform to all come together.

1) I love the blog title.
2) The side bar is empty. Please do not neglect the space. Can be used to add value.
3) Your blog gives us fantastic insight into displaced families.
4) Coming back to the second point, if your side bar had a subscription or 'my followers' I would have logged in to get regular updates.

'Chutney to Maple Syrup' would be quite a change! I was reading your posts, and can definitely relate to your thoughts about the immigrant experience.
Regarding your blog, here are my suggestions:
1. You have lots of information regarding the school system, admission and so on in Canada. But, it is not easily seen. It would be helpful if you have categories for your posts. Example: You can have a category for Canada school admission, Traffic license, Purchasing a home etc. That way, people can find the relevant information on your blog more quickly.
2. You could also try different color combinations or choose a slightly different template. Personally, I feel the the blog banner can be more a combination of pictures from Chennai and Canada. That would highlight the topic you are writing in your blog.
3. At the bottom of the page, the 'Time and Day in Canada' and 'A great place to be part of' are in light font, thereby making it difficult to read. You could change the color of the font. Also, I would suggest putting the time more towards the top of the blog.
I do hope your blog will serve as a resource center for people moving to Canada. Keep blogging!

Regarding your question about having categories in Blogspot, I do not know much, since I use Wordpress.
