Guys - I need a new  (Wordpress) theme for my blog - Dhakkanz. Here are some requirements that the theme should meet:

  • I am only looking for a FREE theme, I am not going to spend money on it
  • I do not like jazzy stuff, so please help me with a simple and decent looking theme
  • Just in case you can locate some live (or Demo) website, it would really be nice
  • It has to be really attractive. I can’t give you MY definition of ‘Attractive’, but do try

Just in case anyone can help me write a new theme for my blog, get in touch. Again, I am only looking at no-money-involved deal.

The best place to get a free theme is Wordpress.org

Go there and look for a theme that suits your blog or your personality.

Jazzy's definition required coz you also want it to be Attractive. Do you mean to say that you need a Sober theme?

Yeah Hemal, I want it to be sober. That is why I said I can't give you definition of what I mean by Attractive here. As attractive would mean 'a Jazzy theme', but for me attractive is sober-attractive ;)

I like the piano black and pixel out of what Hemal suggested, the other one is too common and overused.

If you want a simple and customizable theme, use TwentyTen (2010). I just love it. Here are some sites I designed using this theme:

Life & Beyond

World Travel Destinations

Quotes and Sayings

Here are some decent ones from WP repository:

PrimePress

Mystique

Outside WP repository, check out if you like some from these:

If you are looking for one to use on wordpress.com, check out these 2 sites with my favourite themes:

Mails and Forwards

The Majak Blog

Let me know if you want more!
