The IndiBlogger forum is now a read-only archive. Every public discussion is still here to read, but new topics and replies are closed.

Hey guys... in contests on Indiblogger only those posts who are 'voted' win and not those which are actually good reads. So the next time anyone, even I, ask you to vote for my post for a contest, make sure you are are voting for the best one or two only...

and here are some good posts:

http://www.buzzzstop.com/2010/08/wanted-a-cpedia-that-works-better/

http://disha-doshi.blogspot.com/2010/08/promoted-by-association-against-cruelty.html

and this one is written by a 11yr old kid...

agreed :-) you're free to vote and free to complain... :-)

from my experience of trying to gather enough credit  for my post, or in Samuel's words spamming.... i conclude that 'spamming' depends on point of view Tongue out

Kshitij

Oh Please! Stop that bull Mario. I have been seeing you spam all over... just all over... pasting your same old irritating 3-liner just everywhere. You did not even spare BAT. I  even complained to the BAT boss about it...

ANd here - you are trying to gain points by writing this thread. COme on! Get a life! You know - how good or bad your post is... just keep it to yourself.

Renie - I too request. Please stop him from spamming the whole forum. If one is smart enough, he/she should have realized this guy's used even this thread to do a round of self-promotion... asking people to compare and all. And I wouldnt be surprised if he's listed the people who did not vote for him (just to get those few extra votes).

I am sorry for the language Indies... but this is too much now.

darn... i shouldn't have put up my link there... @Kshitij... i cant agree more. Im stopping coz im tired and I dont like being called a spammer... im not one and I dont wanna be...the determination to win this carried me WAY off! ur complaints are totally acceptable.. i wud've done the same I guess... and I am going to too in the future.

Hemal Shah

Dont try to cover up your arse dude. You dont like being called as a spammer and you are not the one, but what you are doing is against the IndiBlogger ethics. So be warned now or face the ire of bloggers.

Renie is a lot kind hearted who doesnt take stren action unless its just enuf for him. You should thank him that you are still on the forum

A good read might not be the same for everyone.

Mario,  leave it to the readers to vote for the post they find deserving.

mariouana
from Mangalore |

@Sourav totally agreed... I guess one needs to be popular too.. and me being just new here doesnt help...

@Uma ya ur right... its all about appeal and presentation finally... after all blogging is to reach out... and if the 'reach out' is forced... then thats totally uncalled for..

k thats it... I quit spamming... now whoever wants to vote will vote... may the best post win... and i have to write down my experience about all this...

Action should be taken whether its me or anyone...

Not so soon Mario. As I commented above - I did some r&d and realized that of the 5 links this gentleman has listed - 4 of them havent voted for him!

And the one who has (vinayak) - his pic is not available so this gentleman must have skipped him by mistake.

You guys think I am reading too much into it?

Sowmya

Mario - I beg to differ that my post did not get enough justice - All the posts are there for the bloggers to see, read and decide and it is these bloggers who have voted for it.

There is nothing wrong in bringing it to the attention of fellow Indibloggers when it is submerged in Indivine - but surely, any post that is worth reading will certainly move up in Indivine, will be seen and if it deserves it, people will vote for it.

SInce you are a noob here - I suggest that you do not antagonize bloggers by your over enthusiasm - even if your post is the best thing since sliced bread - being on over drive could only back fire against you..

mariouana
from Mangalore |

yep... a little advertisement is not wrong... and ya... may be over enthu was the prob :-| Renie told the same thing :-| thank u

Sourav C. Pandey

Thank you for coming in Sowmya or Mario would have made sure that even I am tagged (super) Mario! Wink

"hey need a favour... please read my post and do vote for it

http://www.indiblogger.in/indipost.php?post=30610

I bet u'll like it :-)"

LOL... thanks and sorry to all of you... I hope voting for contests and otherwise will be more credible, honest and right to all factors of blogging.

(People like Kshitj can carry on with their complaints... what goes around comes around)

Sourav C. Pandey

Trust me dude, you proved yourself! You are the king of losers! I don't care if I win, but I hope you don't!

And yes, this time I am personally going to inform Renie, and other team members about it! Indiblogger is for bloggers, not BEGGARS! You will get it right now! Smile

mariouana

@Sourav Heyy... PJ's are my forte Laughing give me a topic and let me check my database if I have already cracked one on that... Wink

PLEASE REMOVE THIS TOPIC OUT OF THE FORUM, AND IF NECESSARY THIS INSECT TOO!

What is the IndiPolice doing about it?

Kshitij
from Faridabad |

Ok! Time for truce.

Mario, we are happy if you realized you may have shown a little more enthu than required. At the same time, we understand how it goes when you really want to win and are super excited and all.

But am sure even you understand it's a little annoying to see so much of 'promotion', as you'd like to call it.

So, let's stop this bickering... and move on. I am sure your post must be good - because 200+ people wont vote for you just because you sp____ their blogs :)

Cheers!

Hey Sourav ur getting me wrong... that was a last joke thats all... and the "good for you" wasnt for that reply.. it was for your "well mario... reply"

Hemal Shah

Fighting over and abusing this forum isnt done.

You visited my blog, you voted for my indivine, when you wanted to do the adverstising, you did that already.

then you using my blogs contact us to inform me of vote begging. then still when i dont do that, you start posting comments on my same blog post thats part of the contest. Everyone wants to win, but you are going over board.

Creating a bad name for yourself already. There are a lot of people who are so frustrated that they are even demanding vote down button from Renie so that they all can Vote you down. Now what more bad name you want?

Mario, you are a Looser! And you still trying to crack those dirty pjs? seems you love irritating people. Dont test the limits of the genuine bloggers.

All they need to do its report your link as span everytime you comment on their blogs and see what happens to your blog! hope you understand the seriousness of what we all are saying

@Pen please, if someone is voice it out let them.. the frustration over this has happened earelir on this forum but stil this continued.

Mario sent me a mail from Contact me asking for vote. Today, when he realized that I havent voted for him yet, he commented on my post which I have choosen for this contest, asking me for vote and that too, with the URL on my comment page?

Why should I allow competition to spam my blog?

Pen, its something that everybody here right now, saying it out. Since we are on this forum, everything that is happening is connected to this forum. He has admitted that he is at fault and that about it.

keeping it without ourselves wont stop him from spamming others. and yes, we all have ethics to follow here. We do things for ourselves. But we dont bother others in doing so. If i know that I have done good, I would be happy either ways.

Whether I win here or loose, it doesnt matter to me. What matters to me is that pour my heart out in whatever i write. and not greedy to win.
