Seems like I did a wise thing by removing the Indi Rank off my blog. Otheriwise would have been stuck with the low rank from 2.5 months back.

- Will it be by the end of this year?
- What upgrades are you working on?
- Will those upgrades be worth the wait?

The actual agorithm in deciding the ranks is a secret. But some of the factors that contribute to the rank are frequent posting, blog's popularity and most important: Does the blog really desrve to be popular (as mentioned in the FAQ's here: http://www.indiblogger.in/faqs.php)

Its a fascination of the Rank, like we (atleast I) used to be mighty excited about the results the day the exams got over...
Just feels good and acts as a motivation, you can also check out the thread you and your Indirank to know more about what other people think about it!!

People often look in the directory to find the blogs that they are interested in and the blogs there are listed according to their Indiranks. Moreover the votes for IndiVine are also dependent on IndiRanks. If your blog has an Indirank of 65 and 10 people like you tehn the actual votes shown (Beside the love symbol) will be 10 ( 1+ 0.65)
