Who are the best bloggers in different categories according to you ?

The IndiBlogger forum is now a read-only archive. Every public discussion is still here to read, but new topics and replies are closed.

umesh derebail
from Mumbai |

I would vote for Arti ( My Yatra ) & Dhiraj ( Team G Square ) in travel category.  In the Business category Shrinidhi Hande & Mohan from Bangalore are amongst the best.  In photoblogging my vote would go for Rajesh Prabhu & Joshi Daniel.  Purba Ray and Shrinath Vashista in Nation and current Affairs, There are many other categories which i am throwing open for selection by multitude of bloggers, i have multiple other choice of bloggers in different categories but refrain from disclosing......no prizes declared lest it calls for another selection panel and sponsorer.  It is pure and impartial choice of blogging community....maybe a virtual recognition will satisfy our need for recognition.

Oh Yeah!

And the award for the most stupid fickle-minded outrageous insane blog goes to The Xeno!

[clap clap]

Now comes the others.

Best Travel blog : ARTI

Best photography blog : Joshi Daniel

Best Raw-Humor blog : TYS

will add more when i've made up my mind.

umesh derebail
from Mumbai |

Sometimes it is good to blow your own trumphet Lolz, congrats for electing and selecting yourselves.  I generally agree with your other category choice

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

@ Xeno, I would like to give you the award for compelling people to open a dictionary whenever they do through the right side bar of your blog.

Mohonish 'Xeno' Chakraborty
from Kolkata |

@Rajnith: Thank you for that award! Do i get it in cash? If it is gold then okay. Keep it big. Oscar size will suffice.

Animesh
from Mumbai |

LOL@Xeno. This is why I missed your name. I did not have cash to reward you LOL

tys
from Sharjah |

hey!!!! I didnt see this. The Xeno...thank you...now explain : whats raw humour? I have heard of raw steak...

Nishkam

I think Ahimaaz's short fiction blog is brilliant.

umesh derebail
from Mumbai |

He is enigma, can t fathom his subject matter, it is of high IQ, EQ, and dictionery in fine print

Ahimaaz Rajesh
from India |

Umesh - I'm perhaps (just perhaps) an enigma and a teeny-weeny bit of all else you say that I am, but I really am an almost nobody before so many great bloggers here...I can't even begin to name them for I'm afraid I will miss some names and will in turn sadden them. My wishes to you.

Nishkam
from Mumbai |

Ah dont mention...yeah there are many great and good bloggers around, but your blog is very distinctive and striking.Love it or hate it, one cant ignore it.

Hemal Shah
from Mumbai |

Wondering who will choose mine? I dont stand a chance guys.. Wink

Arti
from Mumbai |

The question is NOT Who do you think will adjudge you as the best blogger but its who do you think is the best blogger Wink

umesh derebail
from Mumbai |

Hemal me too in the same boat, no chance Lolz but we have to keep batting.

umesh derebail
from Mumbai |

@ Arti, Well there are no prizes declared so it is obviously and individuals choice, it is just to guage the pulse of indi forum in general.  Good luck guys and gals

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

@ Hemal Here I come choosing your blog for the 'Best blog title design'Smile. Did you create it by yourself?

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

@ Umesh It could have been better if you had done a little homework deciding the categories and a few bloggers in each category for whom we should vote.

Hemal Shah
from Mumbai |

@Arti hehe i know well it was to judge the best blogger, but then a selfish thought that who really will quote my name made me say this Wink

@umesh unlucky few of us.. truth is always bitter. lolz.. Tongue out

@Ranjith Thank you for that award.. yes, thats my own creation..

Sulagna Dasgupta
from Mumbai |

While this is an excellent thread for Indi newbies to get info on the best in each category summarize, I believe the objective of a blogging community like Indi is to help, appreciate and learn from fellow bloggers. Is it a good idea to pinpoint particular blogs as best and stoke a competitive attitude?

umesh derebail
from Mumbai |

Please choose your list of bloggers whom you like the best to begin with Sulagna

Hemal Shah
from Mumbai |

@Sulagna @Dhruva this thread meraly helps all of us who are already here, what other people are reading.. and yes, to tell some unlucky ppl as 'me' and 'umesh' that we are not being read Tongue out.. lol...

I think its not about pin-pointing, its really about what others are reading. Not everyone will have a same list of blogs, so its good to see and know what others appreciate. REading always improves one, which ever way we come across it.. all of this just medium.

Vyasamoorthy
from Hyderabad |

My name used to appear regularly as a top blogger in Social category for many months. Out of curiosity, prompted by this Frum Post I checked out. I have slipped to medium position. However, acitivity in my blog has been highest for the past two months but Indiblogger has its own methods of deciding things. I blog only on Senior citizens Issues. Why should others - mostly youngsters - interested? Understandable. My job is to keep doing what interests fascinates me.

Adhokshaj Bellurkar
from Mumbai |

I don't think you should be worried by the fact that young generation is not interested in the senior citizens issue. It would be similar to expecting Senior Citizens to head bang on Linkin Park songs. What I mean is, different things different age groups and as you rightly pointed out,  you should just continue doing what you like.

The opinions expressed here are only by certain age group and also certain groups of people who know each other and they are in no way a measure of the quality of your content. Si if people choose a blog here, it means it is good, but if it is not chosen here; does not imply otherwise.

:)

umesh derebail
from Mumbai |

Mr Vyasamoorthy, please don t let your spirit down, we appreciate your musings, in the virtual world eyeballs vary according to mood swings.  please keep posting your topic of interest on regular basis, once i a way i would definitely like to pop in.

umesh derebail

I went through your blog on elders inclusion and elder abuse, they are eye openers, i am sure eventually AP govt will include Elders into the medical scheme With riders, which is the best in India according to all experts.

Smile and this thread is nice!! lots of suggestions on which all blogs to check out first!!

i am not mentioning any blogs here as i still need to go through the blogs and find the ones i like the best Smile but overall i am finding so many excellent bloggers through the indiblogger!!

R-A-J
from Bangalore |

I'm not sure if I can name a particular blog that has fascinated me in totality (except mine maybe Tongue out) but there has been many, many instances of beautiful writing that has captivated me. Here's my list of posts that I cn remember rite nw to have really mesmerized me:

  • I simply love most of Purba Ray's writing. I really loved her one on Bhaiyya, where she dealt with so many angles of the topic so well and all with her characteristic trademark humor.
  • I like Pramodji's writing for the sincerity, good will and earnestness he brings into them.
  • I love many of joshi's pics for not just what meets the eyes but what the picture creates in our minds when we see it.
  • From my own stable, this is my current favorite (I wake up in the morns n read this with a smile Smile) but my masterpiece (Smile) is this baby.

There r a lot of posts which have really caught me fascinated tho cant remember nw. Bacardi shud help me jog my memory. Laughing

Ranjith
from hyderabad |

@ RAJ Why has the last masterpiece and your current favourite been named in that way by you? Any reason?

R-A-J
from Bangalore |

Hey Ranjith, thnx fr takin the time fr goin thru them. :)

Most Beautiful is so named cos I consider her to be so...while fr the other one, my friend added the 'heart' to my initial suggestion of 'love.story'

Anukriti Sharma

Indiblogger has a bunch of supertalented bloggers... to name one or two would not do justice to others who are unique in their  own genre n way of writing. I like the blog of mayank austen sufi who writes thedelhiwalla.com and dhiti, a painter from Geneva... I do not think they are here on Indiblogger but do deserve to be mentioned :)...

We are missing spiritual Mohini puranik with her religious blog.....her post on RAMDEV BABA was revealation of sorts..i hope she comes back sooner than later. I believe people like Hemal, Arti, Ranjith, Animesh should convince her to return to Indiblogger, she is present in Facebook

Hemal Shah
from Mumbai |

oopsi! that lolz was not ment to be here..

Yep umesh I tried convincing here a lot, but in the end its her decision. She did came back, but is not being active enough owing to work pressures i guess. Though she is there on FB, cant ask her to justify her time on FB vis-a-vis IndiBlogger

umesh derebail
from Mumbai |

Hemal i am sure she will come back with a bang, i believe only one individual will not do to convince her, i feel a group of individual bloggers should convince her.  She had a long conversation with me on private message, and she seemed to have taken a break after her bitter experience with one blogger.  Now it is high time to bring back the Star.  Let me also try to convince her, pl mobilise others to join the bandwagon Hemal good luck

Animesh
from Mumbai |

I have also been trying since long to bring her back and am sure with joint efforts of all of us, she will be back here soon

umesh derebail
from Mumbai |

Thanks Animesh she deserves to be in Indi, because of her blockbuster posts.  The amount of response generated is phenomenon for all her topics

Arti
from Mumbai |

Yes Umeshji. I have tried to bring her in innumerable number of times and will continue to do so whenever I get a chance, I really miss her and I wish she comes back leaving behind old grudges and starts afresh!

umesh derebail
from Mumbai |

Let us hope Mohini responds to all our popular request to return to Indiblogger, otherwise Arti i suggest you start a seperate thread asking Mohini to return to the forum that will be novel idea i suppose

Hemal Shah
from Mumbai |

Will somebody let her know, at least to read this part of this thread so that she gets the confidence to come back and knowing how much we all are missing her?

Sanjeetha Veni
from India |

I will try to convince her...hope she hears my words...I spoke to her yesterday, she said she is alright..but i was not aware of the happenings in indiblogger..let us hope for the best

Arti
from Mumbai |

@ Umeshji She will come, our Love will definitely force her to come back! Amen.

Mohini Puranik
from Dhule |

I am speechless reading about your love and support and care and appreciation for my little efforts.

I can justify time on FB, we can share news or articles we like directly on FB and discuss on that link and I can add my personal opinions too. Also status update is simple means to convey many things. It is not intentional, but it is something that become natural and inevitable to keep FB on. It helps a lot to spread the news on national issues and spread the awareness. But one thing you might have noticed. I have stopped chatting on all the sites and from last week I am not much active on FB also. Don't know why, but can't manage time to take part in disscussions here.

I am really sorry, that I couldn't come. Please don't think that I am not coming intentionally. When I will be in some tension free stage, I will try to be active.

And  I am following more than 100 blogs, don't know how to reach all, but try to read them. Just yesterday, Geeta and me was discussing, how badly we miss all the fun, we used to have here. But she is also very busy.

Umeshji thanks a lot for your appreciation for my article on Swami Ramdevji Maharaj. Just wrote, what I noticed, after attending his shivir.

Many of my political articles are becoming controversial and I had to face personal attacks also for my writing. So last two months were too bad, to manage all these things.

Arti
from Mumbai |

Mohini so good that you made an appearance here... Hope that all your worries and tensions will vanish soon and you will be here once again to share the joy and fun in Indi:)
Take Care:)
