Almost all the cricketers who opened restaurants under their name have shut shop including icons like Sachin, Ganguly, etc, except for Kapil i believe

Pramod i believe these guys are misguided in their investment plans, i hope Dhoni succeeds in cricket academy, which will be coming up in Bihar Unfortunately Dada's plan was shot down by Paschim Bengal govt.
i don't know much on this, but dhoni I think has not taken eatables joint, he has taken up education field. this has tremendous potential till he is captain he can gain base for it by his brand value.

An academy is a good idea. It is important to recognise talent and nurture it. I remember Baichung Bhutia was also planning to launch a sports academy.
Dhoni should offer free scholarship to poor players who cannot afford exhorbitant coaching fee. I hope he does not commercialise it too much
free scholarships etc. are just gimmicks,
I remember many of the winners of the commonwealth came from humble backgrounds. Talents like these should be helped financially.
