HI i was having a very peculiar issue with my wordpress where i was not able to login and it was not throwing an incorrect password as well. I logged into the cpanel for my hosting and saw that there were constant DB queries happening and that created a havoc on the web host side as well. to solve the issue i did the following: disable all plugins from the DB reinstall and upgrade WP to 2.8.4 There is no cause for concern because the password is not stolen but a rogue plugin can bring down your blog. If you face such issues please contact me and i will take your thru it. its a not a big deal, but this post is just FYI. |

| Man, Vineet, you have become the wordpress expert dude. Yeah, these things happen sometimes, especially when you upgrade or install something new (plugin, theme, editing wp php files, etc.) The steps you have outlined are correct dude. |
| Damn you Vineet! I am sure thatr you wrote that plugin! :) |
| Dude, would you have a list of plugins you had active at the time? |
| Yes, i figured the faultly plugin here was Twitter Dashboard that was modded. It had made entries in all the *.js files of the WP installation. I had 44 plugins active that time. It boiled down to this one wonly! |
| Damn, 44 plugins? Isn't that a little bit or a large bit of overkill? Hehehehe. Welcome, buddy, you are like me, a wastrel who wants to try out everything. |
