Well clicking on ads for sake of clicking is not fair according to google norms.  The guy who is looking for monetisation may eventually face a ban.  If the advt is relevant than it is okies.  So thanking a blogger for a good article is by means of comments or concise features

Well pointed out! Clicking on ads to help the blogger montarily could deprive him of the income which he used to get till then.

Naah its not,

May hamper the budget of many advertisers specially smb if all would start doing this

To thank them for a good article comment and share it on more social networks

Sorry but I don't have that chance. I block ads on web pages using Kaspersky Internet Security. Smile

And that isn't the correct way to help the person who has article that article. As others have pointed out, commenting or sharing on soial networks will do the job.

Yes thats good, But I do not think it is good to block ads on our browser, there will be lot to learn from ads , Ranjith :) Y do you block ads ..

to save the bandwidth. To clearly differentiate content that get missed between ads.

Ranjith

I have never thought about bandwidth but as Mohan pointed out it does save bandwidth also. Other than that, I can experience the web in a better way by blocking the ads. Ads are really annoying, especially those that are displayed in between the posts.

Also on a few sites, porn ads are served. They really annoy me a lot.

If I want to learn something, I will search for it on Google. Why simply learn about unnecessary stuff by clicking on the ads.

No, never! Money can never replace those few words of appreciation. I ask you, if tomorrow I like your article.. How would you like me to thank you for that...By click of an ad or by leaving a note of thanks?
abhin@v

Money cant replace words of appreciation, very true. Also, even if it could, there is a problem with this strategy. The owner rarely comes to know who clicked on his ads. So, its better to leave a thank you note, for his convenience! !Tongue out

He he.. Mohan Is right, I too +1 your article, because I moved to Google Plussssss.... anyway I never like facebook much, because of its annoying ads on the right sidebar, also because of its money minded team, google plus is really superb, higly customizable,. and great thing is that , I am a grt fan of Larry page, I support what ever he do, Google is not money minded than Facebook. To be frank Larry page is a great person , he never run behind money, I have read 13 pages about him from one of a book by steve Kristian in my college library., he he ;) Google Rocks, Facebook .....,,,,,,

Not so absolute ma dr frn ., Commenting on the article being a blogger is like helping ourself (hope you know how). Sharing is the best way to thank them , I think so.."Sharing is Caring!"

Arti

And I thought that writing down our thoughts and opinions on the article is a way of sharing too :O
Harsha GS

Hmm.. absolutely a way but not the greatest possible way naaaa Sealed

Arti

The definition of sharing in terms of blogging is entirely a blogger's prerogative and can differ from person to person.

@harsha

its not like that if commenting is no follow then it doesnt help, you may see more ads in G+ once its out of beta moreover it cn be more annyng

Harsha GS
Harsha GS

I challenge you , It will never be like that, G+ will be more ad free than facebook, Or atleast they will allow you to block ads if they feel that their ads are annoying users. You might have seen Almost no ads or too much less ads on orkut for more than 2 yrs.. Google displayed adsense ads on orkut only  after Facebook killed orkut!

I have been noticing ads on orkut since a very long time dont know which server of orkut you been accessing all the time btw do you know how twitter earns with no ads on it?

Harsha GS

It may have ads, but not swimming in ad ocean, facebook put content inside ads, but google put ads inside content.. this is what the diff is.. Twitter revenue? they are wise , check this article http://www.businessinsider.com/twitter-answers-2011-3

there is no connection between thanking someone for a good post and clicking on their ads. I would only click on a nad if i find something of my interest, not to thank the blogger!! weird!
