Mine's 71, and it's my first. :)

EVen I was notified that I don't have a Google Page rank yet. What is tha? I guess I have a lot to learn about blogging still. Whe I saw my stats page, I felt like I was back in school in maths class. :/

GPR is a measure of your blog's popularity. When more people link to your blog, your PR increases.

I think that it is difficult to increase one's rank once we are in the 70's.

am very happy but want a higher rank, what all can i do? and my gpr is 0... how can i increase that? that has affected my rank, right??

I totally agree with Arti, the kind of blog you have does not need ranking. Your content has substance and many of them are pretty inspiring in their own way. Keep up the good work and do not really bother about the rank.

Yeah, that's the spirit.

I do not yet have a Google PR. I hear things like buidling links, submitting site to directories and such and it's all, especially buidling links, Hindi and Sanskrit to me. Hope some wizkid comes along and guides us all.

google page rank will develop on the basis of how many back links that you get from higher PR websites. So target those bloggers, see if you can guest post for them and that way, u earn a link back!

Mine came down from 69 to 66, and to think I thought more people read my blog between the fall! I still don't get what drives this.  Can anyone tell me what these directories are all about?  I saw a Yahoo directory, and it said, I had to pay something to have my blog included there.

Indirank is different from directories. Directories either paid or free does two things, one it gives you a linkback and second, drives visitors who look for something in the directory that matches with what you have in the directory

Richa,  Its not only about the traffic but the Indirank also depends on the frequency with which you are putting up your posts. And I think you dont update your blog that often, right? So may be that's the reason for the decrease...Dont worry, just keep blogging :)

And about the directories @hemal has answered it.

yey!!! So many ppl with more than 300 replies just in two days... Says how much it means to all of us.. Everyone is happy.. Sometimes we wait for long to get what we wished for and when it arrives delayed, the joy multiplies.. Isnt it?
