hey...don't worry...you really need not be a pro...trust me...it gives immense satisfaction to tweak your own image and of course a good click is fine...there is photoshop only for tweaking and sharpening and other things for the image :)
btw I saw in chrome...your site is loading fine...I use firefox usually...its easier for me than chrome too!!!
and yup the delay is due to the widgets you have used...earlier even I had used many widgets and then slowly removed them....and one more thing is that whenever you are doing some tweakign to your blog...try to do it in the <head> section than in the <body> if you are playing with html...that will not affect the loading time of your blog...try to reduce some widgets though especially the ones you have submitted your blog too or otherwise a good solution is to place them at the footer coz even if it takes time...thats fine :)

Bhumika, you don't need photoshop.
I NEVER use it. At max, i use the crop feature of Microsoft Office. The text upon the image can also be inserted in Ms Office itself. (really!? YES!!!) You do NOT need photoshop. :P

hey genobz..i have clicked a pic and added a new banner...jus check if its fine..the height looks more I gues...bt in all softwares if I adjst width..the height automatically changes...so both wer not fittin in...do let me knw if its fine..or else how do i reduce the height if its more..

yes, the height is too much.
Just as you said, you cant reduce the entire image. You will have to crop it. Remove the upper part. You can use Picasa to crop images as well as simple software like Ms-Powerpoint.
I suggest using a height of at max 200px with the text centred in height and width.

genobz the dimensions r not changing by cropping..pic gets cropped bt size remains huge...I want to know how do I customize both height n width
I believe this is because you took the picture from a camera which resulted in a resolution of 2000x2000 or more than that.
From your blog header space, it seems that the width is altered because of the height.
I suggest that you crop the upper half of the picture using picasa.
If you are unable to do it, just mail me the image at genobz [at] gmail [com] and I shall fix and resend it to u in a few mins

The header still looks huge. Try cropping more from the top. Make it 200px height max
but den it wud be hardly seen..I dont want it too small...will check..
