India is poised to become one of the world's largest economies in a couple of decades. Through this blog, I aim to identify socio-economic issues that may turn out to be possible obstacles in the path to India reaching its goal. I plan to use it as an idea-generating platform to work towards a brighter, smarter and happier India!

Can you also discuss in a blog post or two the major indices that there are to measure and compate the quality of life etc. between two different countries e.g. Purchasing Power Parity Index etc., and their relationship to other metrics that are used to figure out whether or not an economy such as India's is growing or not? How about measuring the "inclusivity" or available services, private or public no matter, in a country such as India?
