The blog looks neat. Not crowded, but if you are looking at some income from ads, then they need to be more strategically placed. You also have 2 "search this site" fields. May be on purpose but I feel that its redundant. The one on the left pane can be removed.

 

The ads at the end of each post is good though. Even the widgets and quick links that he has provided is good.
