Hmmm, I wish there was a concept of "Team owners" and "Icon players" + a stipulated budget being given to the owners to auction and buy their favorite player ... could have been fun  #IPLish

That deadline is specific to each person based on when they joined a team, it's not the same time for everyone!

I did a mistake, I am not going to participate in this contest but clicked the team title and it showed tht one seat has been taken. I dnt remeber the name of the team bt it is first one in left side (did not evn visited tht page again)  and I did it the very first day when it was announced

meee too 29th is lurking over the head and havent even thought abt this one....

Btw any idea what the logic is... for submissions being within a week of selecting the team? 

Initially, each team had 20 members. Imagine what will happen if all those who joined a team don't submit their entries. This one week time limit will allow other bloggers who want to participate to join in case those who joined initially don't want to submit their entries ( and also don't bother to send a mail asking for removal of their name ) 

Got it! But still they might as well have not gone for the team format and allowed the bloggers to chose the flavour.. it would have been an unofficial MR exercise to know which flavour is the most popular 

Probably they wanted to do something new and so went for the teams format.  Maybe next time, we can suggest some better ideas
