Congrats to the winners. I picked up one of the consolation prizes. That is what I like about these contests. With 37 prizes, you are likely to pick one if you write decent enough and 2 K is not bad money.

I'm glad I checked this page tonight, just like I was doing every few days for the last 2 weeks. I participated in an Indiblogger contest after ages this time. In fact, I had put in efforts into a blog post after a long hiatus. Happy to have won something :D

Time, like a fisherman's bait

Bobs untiringly on a sea of expectations

Unknown to it somewhere far

Sometimes a storm brews unexpectedly

Letting its hunger pangs

Grow geometrically.

A storm loves to engulf

Desires, anxieties, and even logic

But surprisingly takes a path

That leaves survivors exulting

On their good fortune.

I have watched storms from a distance

And sometimes wondered

Why they swerve to save

And then swerve to annihilate

But I know that understanding storms

Isn't easy because they are so much like

The judges of a blogging contest.
