Dear bloggers,
I have been reading a large number of reviews and requests for reviews. I have found, that more often than not, reviewers provide a large amount of time and discussion on the layout, the template, the widgets and so forth.
To put it mildly, we focus extensively on the technology part of it, without providing any constructive/substantive feedback (beyond 'interesting', 'wide variety' and 'good' and 'nice': words which mean little! except for putting smiles on our faces) on the content.
This, I think defeats in certain ways the real purpose of blogging: which as I understand was to democratise writing and publishing, by making it available to all. By ensuring that we were not trapped in tech glitches and wizardry and self-promotion.
So, I propose to review your blogs, but focus on the content of it. Comments on deepening it, adding more layers to your writing, exploring other dimensions of your posts, the graphic quality, and so forth.
My purpose for doing it: discovering substantive blogs and their authors.
I look forward to a manageable trickle and not a deluge, to begin with!
And in return, I look forward to your comments on my blog as well. Don't worry, I am not reopening it because I am unemployed, but because I want to enlarge my google reader and discover many more worthwhile blogs. Just so you know: I read English and Hindi. And can manage with Gujarati and Urdu.
Other vernacular blogs and bloggers: you are welcome to comment on my blog.
Reason: re-starting reviews and requests for reviews
Do mine too...

Dear LEB
Brutally honestly: loved your blog! The writing style is easy and convenient, the back-linking and pics (Thomas the engine! was a hoot) ensure that without getting caught in the elaboration of it, you manage to say lot. Down to detailed business:
What I like most about your writing is the personal connect. All the posts, even if they are metaphors for the contemporary, emerge and grow from the personal narrative/experience/anecdote. I think that helps the emotion come through and helps the reader to keep reading. There is however a larger narrative beyond your many personal narratives, which you keep hinting at, without getting consumed in the description of it.
From Bengal, married to South-Indian, living in Kansas you are sure to some have interesting ideas on displacement/dislocation/migration and the such. The letter to a birthday boy is a thoroughly enjoyable satire on work and work cultures in the modern day. With your sharp perceptive writing and a delightful sense of humour I am sure you can strike many a chord about many a thing.
Like the entry on Tiger Woods, delightful entries, re-entries, makes a much larger point on media, sex and consumption. All good and wonderful to read, thoroughly enjoyable.
cheers, CC.
PS: purpose of opening the post served well!

Dear S
One, I feel that opening your blog at this very early stage might be a bit premature, since the content and the contours of it haven't been fully mapped and etched.
About the idea, I think this form of computer art work is indeed very creative, but I really cannot see the images unless I click on them. Would you like to perhaps increase the image size as you post them to make it more reader friendly.
On the actual content, to be honest, some just went past me without striking a chord. But I feel some others are indeed quite nice. But I think you should seriously consider supplementing your art work with some writing, explaining the inspiration, context, content and idea. Even if its in two three sentences, your stories will begin to come alive, because right now its one image for an entire story. Which is a little too unreasonable for anyone to deliver, continuously on. Or maybe serialise your art work then, such that four strips tell the entire story, perhaps?
cheers, CC
Hi,Please review my blog http://indiaspirituality.blogspot.com/ Short introBlog covers Inspirational quote, lives of saints, Spirituality, Bhakti, Meditation, Prayers, Q and A, Sri Ramakrishna, Spiritual wallpapers, Sri Ramana Maharshi, advaita Vedanta basics, Nisargadatta, Vivekananda, Brahmachaitanyaji Majaraj, gujarati, etc on the right sidebar, there are quotes which change daily and on the left one there is 'index'. This is a result of effort to load the sitemap faster. I have more than 360 posts, So this indexes are of a particular category.I have tried to make blog load faster and hence removed as many scripts, hacks and images as possible. I have also replaced jscript DD menu with pure CSS mega menuthanks
I wouldn't mind a review too.

Dear friends,
I don't know if it is because of the delay in responding to you or the nature of comments provided or a case of lost interest. But the trickle I requested seems to have dried up altogether.
I know, there are still some outstanding review to attend to! But I still look forward to reading many more of your blogs, and offering my honest yet humble opinion.
Al least keep the trickle going, as it is damming (and damning) our rivers has destroyed the flow, lets keep this one going!!
Cheers
CC
Whoopsy-daisy! Daft as I am, never navigated beyond the first page...
Thanks Varsha and others for your "thanks", will keep this going, as long as the desire to read more blogs stays alive.
Let's keep this rolling!
Dear Cryptic Clues
It is 6:12 am here and this is the first thing I read besides the boredom of sustenance. And I am humbled beyond anything else. Your efforts in reading some past posts is greatly appreciated. Thanks much for your time and hope to see more of you on my blog from time to time.
Best Regards
LEB
Well, if you would write another one, transcending humor to discuss the larger contemporary issues that you hint about: I will be a regular reader. Or maybe even in this one...
Review me Crypic Monster.
BTW Are you from Cryopton? Were you neighbors to Superman? Can you fly too? Is you skin blue too? Do you wear underwear over you pants too? What "CLUES" are you talking about?
Hi there. I've recently started a new blog. It's just one day old. Nothing much to be reviewed about. But I would be glad if you could review it of what's there. Thanks.
Here is mine..... http://www.lifestoryandme.com
